Hey Mindy, Kim and I were laughing at how fast your drive by was last night!

Oh, I thought you were scared of me, Mary...........who was going to watch House? Was that Kim or Tim?

Had to be Tim as I was watching the Steve Irwin Memorial. Did anyone else watch that? So sad!!!!!!! Especially the ending where they drove Steve's truck for the last time to it's resting place. Now I am being the downer here. Sorry, I'm still so sad about his death.

I sure hope she is better tomorrow, Mary. DD9 stayed home with stomach problems today. I hope she doesn't get what your DD has; it sounds bad!

Me too!!! DD started with going to the bathroom several times yesterday afternoon, then up at midnight, then again at 4 am and again at 6:30 behind me. I was up at 6 am with it. But I think myine is milder than hers. I'm feeling better, she's not.

Thanks Paige, but what we have is minimal of what you had to deal with this weekend. I am so sorry your mom is going thru this. I hope your mom gives her Dr. the note you wrote. Even if her Dr. can't tell you anything will he listen to you if you call him. I know all the privacy issues and all, but those only preclude him from giving you information, not you giving him information.

Hmm, I never thought about that.....(I mean that he would listen to me even if he can't talk to me)........do you think if I left a message with his nurse he'd actually call me back?

I don't know, but I'd start with "I do not wish to have you give me any information, but I'd like to share with you my concerns for my mom's well being." He might be open to listen. What's the worst he can say, no I won't listen, not likely though. They usually want all the information that they can get, I mean if you had stayed and gone with them to the Dr. he'd have listened to you if you were standing there with them, so why not if you are calling about your concerns. It could be worth a try.

I'm going to try that Mary. I know what hospital he's connected to, but not his name. I will see if I can get his name from mom in the am and find out his number from the hospital. When I was leaving, I stopped by town in mom and dad's store to say goodbye to dad. He asked what I thought of mom......... I didn't want to add to his stress, but I did tell him I was very concerned, that she seemed more sad than she should. He just nodded his head. I may call him also and see if he can call the dr. or go with her and talk about it as well. He normally doesn't go with her...............

That should also help. My mom deals with depression all the time, and we have times where mom just retreats into her bedroom and doesn't come out. Its not easy seeing someone you care about going thru this. Good Luck on calling the Dr. I really think he'll listen, especially if you tell your mom to tell him you might be calling and it is ok for him to talk to you. If you think you can get that all by your mom.
