The Mad Chatters thread Part 13

My girls are 15 and 10. I must say that both do a really good job at cleaning them. Older one should only have a few months left. The younger one is just starting.

Sorry about the eye situtation. I wear glasses but also have contacts. Since I'm a SAHM I usually wear my glasses more. I wore my contacts this weekend because we went to a wedding and when I took them out my eyes were so bloodshot. They looked awful. I have very dry eyes so it's more of a pain for me to deal with the contacts unless I'm getting all dressed up for something special. :confused3

Have a good day Pixie and I hope your eye feels better. I'm going to get myself together before the kids wake up. :wave2:

When did your oldest daughter get her braces? DS is 7 and the dentist is already telling us he will need to get braces...he is just like my DH and myself, his mouth is too small for all of his teeth. They are not crooked yet, but he will probably have to get a palet spreader once his wisdom teeth come in.

I didn't get my braces until I was in my 20's and was in them forever.

Brett, who is 10, just started with a retainer first almost 3 mos. ago. Braces will go on around Sept. or so. Probably on for 2 years!!! Thank God he's the only one who has needed them......$$$$$$$$

What does it cost for you guys in the States? Do benefits cover them? :confused3

good morning chatters. Its MLK day so I slept in a little. we were supposed to get 5 inches of snow and ended up getting around that much in RAIN. so now everything is soggy but they are still talking snow later. We'll see. I hate it when it rains really hard and then everything freezes. Huge ice puddles everywhere because the sewers couldn't handle the rain so there was standing water. Not fun! Well at least I don't have to work today and that is niiiice!

My dd had braces and the cost was about $2400.00 (that's American dollars Lisa:rotfl: ). Our insurance paid 1/2. Which is better than none. BTW, HI EVERYBODY.

except nobody's here.:sad1:

Hi Elisabeth! I am here, just now dragging myself out of bed. I stayed up too late last night!

Wow, a fellow chatter! How's it going today? Any big plans?

Not a thing. We are still iced in, so I won't be leaving the house. How about you?

It's only raining here (as it has been forever). DS's want to go to a movie. I haven't decided. I'm way behind on :laundy:, but what's one more day?!?!

I did not have a good weekend....I had an allergic reaction in my eyes and now I am taking steroid drops and have to wear my glasses.:sad1:

pirate: ...couldn't resist.

Hi and Bye all :wave2: chat with you later.

Ooh, what are you going to see? We are Blockbuster addicts, but we rarely go to the movies. We did see Eragon on Christmas Eve though, and it was pretty good. Not really like the book, but good all the same.

good morning

:wave2:

TO STEPHANIE: We got some movie passes for Christmas. We saw Eragon and Night at the Museum. If we go today, I'll have to actually pay for it.:scared: :lmao: The kids said something about "Arthur and the Invisibles"? I don't know:confused3

I haven't heard of it. :confused3 How old are your boys? My DD's are 23, 17, 15 and turning 13 on the 23rd. I don't have little ones anymore!

We loved that movie :thumbsup2

Ok I am really leaving now. :guilty:

I'm supposed to go to an outlet mall today. I'm a little miffed right now at DBF so I don't feel like getting motivated to take my shower and go yet. I don't have a valid reason that I'm miffed, I just hate it when he talks to his family constantly and ignores me. They get more attention from him and they live in Taiwan and Lafayette Indiana! Doesn't seem right. Maybe I'm just cranky because his mom called this morning and woke me up.

I heard that Arthur movie was supposed to be good for kids. Its got that cute little guy from Charlie and the Chocolate factory in it (the Johnny Depp version)
