Dh and I just decided to do New Year's Eve in New Orleans. Then I've got my VA/DC road trip in March, and I am waiting to see what dates you pick to plan for WDW so we can go at the same time. :thumbsup2
I am going to wait until I see what they do with free dining...which unfortunately won't be announced till next year. I am wanting to be there for 10-14 days but I may be dreaming. Probably after Labor day and before the end of the month....thats as far as I have gotten so far. If you guys pick dates I will do my best to work with them. I don't have kids to worry about so I can be more flexible.

I have no trip planned to WDW! :guilty:
If my dd makes the Wrangler National Jr. High Finals Rodeo, then we will be taking a "vacation" to New Mexico in July. Which is exciting for her, but it's no Disney!
Hey Elisabeth and Scrappy :wave2:

Hi Elisabeth!

I don't think we'll have any breaks in the fall next school year, so it won't make any difference when I pull the kids out. So we'll see when they announce the dining then.............do they do that in January?

Paige, do you worry about September, with it being so close the beginning of the new school year?

Hi Scrap, Hi Elisabeth!

I don't get hte whole concept of free dining. Can someone explain?

I don't remember.....I booked our trip this year in March but I think the free dining dates had already been out for awhile when we decided to go...so it could be earlier. We usually leave here on a friday morning drive straight to my grandma's ( she lives about an hour and half north of Orlando) and spend the weekend with her. Then we head to WDW on monday and hopefully 10 days there. I think 10 days is the most you can get free dining for.

About free dining...

I saw the news on the pilot program for future stay.

Anyone staying Nov 8 thru Dec 31st can book and put down a deposit for a stay Aug 5 thru Sept 30th with free dining at a discount.

So that made me think that free dining will have another go around in the fall.

Do they sneak the price of the dining in by charging you more for the hotel or something?

Free Dining may be enough incentive to squeeze in another trip. :thumbsup2

That would be so cool to meet everybody.
YOu should come too... :)

Hey Bonnie - just ignore me why don't ya  ;)
Free dining plan- one table service, one counter service and one snack per person per day in your party.

They didn't when we stayed there this last september. It was 129 a night for the moderate and then the price of our tickets when the food was free.

It'd be great if you could go too Elisabeth!!! :thumbsup2

Bon, I don't worry about it anymore. They'll be okay for a week without me.

We'll fly, so the soonest we can figure out the dates, is best, then we can get the good price on airfare. :thumbsup2

I just hope they extend it to all of us and not just those staying there now....

I'm sorry, Nichole!! Did I forget to greet you?

NICHOLE!!!! HOW ARE YOU, LADY? :yay: :dance3: :yay:

I just can't understand why Disney would give out free dining! And do you have to stick with certain sucky restaurants?

Good info! Thanks! :thumbsup2

HI Teresa.........

If you book the package deal with tickets during the free dining period, you get free dining for the length of your stay for everyone listed in the room.

Free dining sounds GREAT, as far as I can tell!! Now if we can only get Free dining AND MNNSHP to coincide....

Maybe if we just went a couple of days (like 4 or 5) instead of 10 or 11, I could save enough moola between now and then!!! :goodvibes
