Ice cream is always the trump card for me...bed will still be there afterwards.



I even washed the new 6 pair of pants so they would be a little less stiff. I buy the cheap ones from an online outlet and they are pretty stiff until they are washed. So not only did I take in pants for a skinny kid, but I washed brand new pants that weren't even dirty. That makes up for the times that I let DS's fall asleep in their uniforms, and let them wear them again the next day...sure saves time in the morning!!

All this talk about ice cream has made me hungry. I took the boys to the Y for karate class, and while they are in there I go in and ride the recumbent bicycle for an hour while waiting for them. It's right up front so I can "read" the TVs, not as much work as the treadmill, and I can lean back and relax sort of while I watch TV. I probably burn about 50 calories..I don't even do a stressful program-usually I just ride it at the lowest speed w/no challenges at all. Hey, I'm movin my legs, aren't I? AND I get to sit down!! So now I need to go pack those calories back on, it's not like I want to try to lose any of this extra poundage I am carrying around..

Besides, DS8 just begged a big bowl of it, and it looks good. Yes I give my kids sweets right before bed..they have no trouble sleeping, thank you very much.. Sometimes I even have them brush their teeth>.

note the time of this post I just finished my cupcakes and here is how they came out:

They actually came out really cute but I have to say, when I got about 6 done and was putting them together off to the side, the seemed to be taunting me with SO-SO-SO-SO-SO instead of the 50 yard line I can't wait to see DS6 face in the AM before he heads off to school!

Ok DS5 is finally better to go to school(he has been out all week) and DS10 is off bc the Cardinal invited the teachers into Philly for some Mass, so I am already to send at leat one to school...

THEY CALLED A SNOW DAY BC OF RAIN! no lie it is raining here, it is suppose to go up to a high of 47 and they closed school. Now a 2hour delay would have closed preschool anyway but this is crazy I called DH and he was laughing his butt of bc he is driving now and he says it is fine out there.

So now I am stuck with both of them home, Errrrr

So I tried to convince DH that he will need to pick up milk later, he said "oh please, it is rain, get in the flippin car" Oh well he isnt buying the sob story but heck I am going to the drive thru convienence store. This place is the greatest invention. All the stuff in the convienence store but I get to stay in my warm, dry car and just give them my list. Some lady on another thread called us lazy bc of this type of place but I think today is the perfect today to utilize such an establishment, and frankly she doesnt know the definition of lazy I asked her if she had kids when she criticized a place like that, she hasnt posted back Maybe I should direct her here

I LOVE drive thru anythings!! When I lived in Detroit, we had a drive thru liquor store/party store, and also a drive thru pizza place where you bought the pizza's uncooked, took them home and popped them in the oven. Perfect Dinner.

We also have a drive up window at our liquor store here in Savannah..

yes I was very confused by that lady's post, umm dont you ever driv thru the bank, fast food etc. I love anything drive thru!

I want a drive thru convience store
I'm still waiting for my bank to build at a new site a bank with a drive thru ATM.

I have to take DD to the dr. today for a yearly checkup. If it wasn't for daycare (need to have a yearly checkup to re register & her's runs out on the 4th) I would reschedule it. Because I didn't realize what I was doing scheduling it on the 1st of the month. It's payday & I do the grocery shopping on this day. I would wait to go to the grocery store till tomorrow but I am like Old Mother Hubbard. The cupboards are bare, well not really but there's nothing for lunch or dinner...................For me

ok she came back and posted that we are lazy ourselves for using this place, we are teaching our kids to be lazy and hurting our environment just like so many modern convienences

Ok I think I am starting a thread about this and see what others think.

Personally I think she is nuts. Why I am riled about this I dont know, I feel the need to defend my drive thrus.
