The lizards at Disney's World

I think they need to do something about those lizards. Let me start by saying, I had wonderful trip. I did have small time with lizard though and Disney seem to do nothing for this!

I had tired foot so I sat down on a flat rock. I sit for good time when I feel strange sensation in pants! I look around and Keiko is nowhere near so I reach into pants and feel more sensation! Now I go into panic!

In panic I strip down my pants and see large lizard run away! Then I realize I lose hat into pond and one woman see's little Reinholdt!

I went straight to front desk to complain but they say there is nothing they can do! They say they will call but no call yet! I don't want monies but a promise to make lizards leave and an apology would be good. They did fish my hat out of pond though.

I will write more in trip report but I wanted to discuss and release hot air.

Geez, a tiny little lizard isn't going to hurt you and was probably more terrified of you than you could ever be of him. I think they're cute and just one of the signs I'm in Walt Disney World.

I wouldn't let something silly like that ruin your day... and I hardly think WDW needs to 'do' something about them. Generally speaking, they are so lightning fast and scurry away before anyone can get near them (I know, I've tried catching them ). It was just a freak thing.

I don't see why they need to apologize to you... they didn't do anything wrong. It was nice of them to get your hat for you though.

They're all over Florida. Mom and Dad have lived there for 10 years and both their cats have had a fine time catching lizards!!

They're kind of cute, actually-of course, not when they're running up your pants!!

Yes, they are all over Florida and there is nothing that can (or should) be done to get rid of them. They eat bugs, they will not hurt you and they are fun to watch.

My Miami cousins used to clamp the lizard's mouths on their ears for earrings.

Yep my best friend used to do this when we were in college. Had lizards tethered to my curtains in the dorm. Now the cats play with them in our house. Lizards are part of life in Florida.

If a lizard jumped in my pants and molested me, I'd want the lizard to apologize to me as well. Either that or it could at least buy me dinner!!!
