The Little Things to Make Someone Smile

Sometimes people just need a quick pick me up. Just when they're in a bad mood, or are just crashing because they haven't eaten in a while. What sort of things have you done to cheer people up and/or make their day, particularly at Disney?

On my last trip I got my brother a phone call to the table at the Brown Derby. It happened to time out that Goofy called him right as he was getting miserable, and he was in a great mood for the rest of the meal.

On a slightly different note, I'm looking for ideas to out do myself on my next trip. So let's discuss what you like to do to cheer people up

Not big things, I just try to smile at everyone. I never know what it could mean to them or how it could brighten their day.

Agreed! Of course alongside the smiling, I ask them if they need a hug, and if they do I'll give em a hug (and I'll give hugs to a couple of people if they don't, that's with my best friends)

I give people a lot of compliments in general, just because I know how much I like receiving them, and I know it can make someone who's in a bad mood cheer up.

When people are in really bad moods though, I try to let them cool off on their own.
Because when I'm cranky, I generally don't enjoy people trying to make me laugh or smile, it just gets on my nerves more.

i usually smile a lot when im out in public. but

if its one of my friends, i can usually make them laugh by just rambling on and on about how i am always falling in front of people i like , or i just tell them to think of Emma, who is going to be a professional commedian when she grows up . i can tell.

Maybe when you go to Disney, get some Fastpasses for the popular rides and give them to people about to join the line Some people gave us some for Soarin' so we kept them and used them for the evening that day (until we found out we couldn't use them for the Late EMH -_-)

This is my favourite thing to do on vacation at WDW to make someone's day;
When I see a little kid dressed up as a character I go up to them and ask for their autograph. I'm sure that when they get home they'll tell all their friends that someone thought they were the real Cinerella/Sleeping Beauty/Whoever.
And it's just so cute to see the look on their faces, and their parents faces.

At WDW I also hold doors/ give up my seat on te bus...anyting really, I'm generally in a good mood @ WDW!!!

In RL, I just smile lots and say my pleases/thank yous and make general small talk.

I go to Wal-Mart and but foam kits and make crafts that I hand to people.(Only at WDW) I have even made my own at home. Not to brag but I got so many smiles I couldn't count.

some people might not want to do this for no reason but i LOVE it when we can't use a FASTPASS and we get to give it to a family and we see their faces when we give it to them!

I do that.

I remember once, a woman walked up to my mom in the Soarin' queue, seeing that I was with two of my cousins. She handed my mom a fastpass and said it was good for three people, implying that my cousins and I should ride. It took a lot to convince my cousins' parents, but the three of us got to ride without them.

Best experience of my life.
