The "Little Souvenier" Commerical

Totally random, but this morning I was thinking about that commerical that used to be on with the family on the elevator- mom, little girl, baby in stroller. The little girl is talking about their trip to Disney World and says, of the baby, "mommy calls him her little souvenier".

What gets me about that is it seems to imply she conceived the baby at WDW. Now, tell me, how would that be possible in those teeny tiny rooms? Especially with a child in the room (the older sibling)? Impossible!:rotfl:

Ha--our #2 and #3 were souvenirs from WDW trips...#4 was a San Diego souvenir...you do what you gotta do ;)

LOL! Like a PP said, you do what you've gotta do! My little souvenir/surprise is currently snoozing on me as I type. Tee hee hee.

ETA - As for logistics...once the kids are asleep, a nice shower can be great. A bit cramped, but it works. Can't believe I just typed that.

We had a little Disney surprise that we sadly lost early in the pregnancy. Granted we were in a DVC 1bd so we didn't have to worry about the privacy issue.

We have an awesome souvie from Disney, but we were on an Anniversary trip without the kids. I will be the first to admit I have yet to find the time or energy for that when we have the kids.

We have a 9yo "little souvenier" from a trip to Toronto, Canada. We joke and call her "our little Canadian" LOL! :) (not to her face, but just between DH and I). We had a little WDW souvenier also but miscarried that one. And for that souvenier reason is why we LOVE our DVC one bedroom villas!! :)

DH always thinks it is weird when people talk about disney souvenir babies. He can't figure out what about Disney makes people so frisky :rotfl: (even though we have indeed ..err... showered together there )

I loved that commercial though. :lovestruc

One of my favorite commercials ever. And remember it was for the Disney Cruise Line, from what I hear those rooms are even smaller, but I agree, yo udo what you gotta do. A weekend trip OK but if yo ustay too long you make things work.

I always assumed a grandma went along. Bt you're right about cramped cruise rooms. Perhaps the "souvenir purchase" was accidental? Merely passing each other between the bed and the chair? A lurch in the ship? ;)

Where there's a will, there's a way. DH always seems to have the will. ;)

I loved that commercial too!!
There were posts a while back about what parents...do :lmao:...and someone posted that this could be a whole big marketing campaign and huge selling point for DVC- the BEDROOM door!!

More likely it had something to do with the onboard nursery/kids' club.

Well, our little guy that is due any week/day now is our disney souveneir. We are also DVC members, so we have our own bedroom. ;)

I love that commercial - it is adorable!! Not conceived there but I did find out that I was expecting DD#2 on our last trip to WDW.

Here is our souvenir from our May 2009 trip!

Our oldest DD was 2 months shy of 3 last year and after a day at the parks, there is nothing that was going to wake her up! We stayed in the Tahiti longhouse at the Poly so our room was not teeny tiny! That's how souvenirs happen!!

I really regret not buying that polarfleece blanket with the castle on it they had at Christmas . . . oh. You're not talking about that.

Nevermind. ;)
