The Last Samurai - anyone seen it

Ok i guess the film has been out in the States for a while - but its not due to start here till the 9th - so i was wondering if any of you had seen it and your comments on it good or bad lol

I was hoping someone would ask. Just saw it with hubby and all I can say is that it was an amazing epic!! The cinematography is truly a beautiful work of art.

Hubby is not a Cruise fan (I am but even he agreed that his acting was over the top. I am sure there will be some kind of award given for this film.
A word of warning..there is quite a bit of gore and blood.

I thought it was great!

Very well done. Well acted, lovely photography.
It is rather bloody, but it is basically a war movie.......and it does rather over-glorify the Samurai.
But it is a movie well worth seeing.
