The Last Samarui I want spoilers

I fell asleep during The Last Samarui yesterday and my DH will not tell me what happened. I do not have time to watch again before returning and I don't want to watch all the fighting again to get my questions answered so please fill me in. For those who have not watched there may be spoilers in my questions.

















Did anything happen between Tom and the woman who cared for him in the mountains?


How did it end? Did Tom die a true Samarui? Did he live?

Well, in a nutshell. Tom Cruise's character becomes friends with the lead Samarai and they band together a large fighting force to fight the Japanese militia, or whoever the other side was.

All the Samarai get wiped out in a very vicious battle, but not without taking quite a few of the opponent out. Tom's character does not die, of course, and he drifts off into the sunset. I believe he went back to the village where he was held captive and continued his relationship with the Japanese woman, if I remember correctly.

Yes, Tom returns to the village and lives with the woman.

He also helps the leader of the samurai die honorably by helping him stab himself on the battlefield.

He also kills that real jerk of a US soldier who always taunted him.

I hope that you know who I am talking about. I can't remember the names. I had to do a two parter as well.
