I wanted to get opinions regarding our trip this year. We have two children, DS5 and DD2. We have been to WDW several times with the kids and my son expressed an interest in Disneyland this year. We have considered it but I am a little concerned we will be disappointed as, while I have never been there, Disneyland just doesn't have the same feel as WDW. I love WDW for all there is to do outside the parks - resort exploring, riding the boats around Bay Lake, spending time just hanging out taking in the surroundings. My kids love these things, too. While I personally would prefer WDW I want to see what others think.
Will we be disappointed with Disneyland? Should we go and experience it because we never have before?
I should also add that this will be a 5 hour flight for us - not too fun with a 2 year old - versus a 90 minute flight to Orlando.
My fear is we will get to California and be disappointed and wish we had taken our vacation in Florida.
