My lovely family (DW and DS8) are on our way next week for the first time to wdw   (man, that banana rocks).
Today I was confirming everything
here are my adrs by the way
SCI FI (yeah yeah, I wrote a musical based on Plan Nine From Outer Space, how could I resist?)
Ohana(we are tiki people)
Teppanyaki( read some complaints...but I have a question...why do so many people seem to have local japanese steakhoses in their town. I live in the suburbs of San Francisco and have to drive their to go to one)
Whispering Canyon
Prime Time
Marrakesh

then AS i WAS TALKING TO sHANNON (Ok Shannon rocked!!!So fun) I was inspired to make a reservation at (by the way, they are no longer called advanced dinner reservations<adr>, I guess they are just Rs) Kona Cafe..
Again, our dog is named Tiki,is that a hint that we love polynesian stuff?
Our son is pretty food savvy(at 18 months he could ask for quesadilla, guacamole, and unagi, not all at once). Is it fun? Is it good. Is it good fun?
We are not about gourmet.
Lowdown, anybody? :grouphug:

We loved Kona Cafe! It was our favorite of the entire trip - even cancelled a character meal at Crystal Palace to do Kona again.

The food is wonderful! And the desserts!! OMG!!!

We've booked it twice for October!

Kona is a must do for our family. Don't know if you like wings, but the sticky wings are only one of the things we keep going back for. The sauce on the wings is like a sweet terriyaki (sp?) sauce. I just love it. So does DH. If I order the steak, I also ask for the wing sauce on the side so I can dip. We go to disney about 4 times a year and like I said, Kona is a must for us. We have not had a bad meal yet. DH is also a huge fan of the 100% Kona coffee in the press pot. He can pretty much drink it all by himself. Of course he is one of those people who needs a starbucks fix, so this is a little bit of heaven to him.

My son who will be 10 next month can always find something he likes there. Here is a link to the menu if you haven't seen it yet. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_kcd.htm

Hope you have a great time

Diane

Kona Cafe was the best meal of our trip last year. My husband (who is hard to please food wise) LOVED it. We both ate the BeefTeriyaki and it was so good. The bread is to die for and both my girls said it was their favorite.

It is very laid back. We had made an ADR, but I dont think we really needed one. Everyone was trying to get into the other restarunt (I think Ohana) and the Kona was kinda overlooked.

You will love it! ;)
