Anyone else read this book?
I was abit disappointed in it. I know it was meant for yound teens, but I think alot of it left alot of unaswered questions, and I'm an adult. :confused3
First off I thought it was supposed to be about kids locked in the Magic Kingdom at night, so I was disappointed to find out that wasn't really what it was about. Not anyones fault. Just what I had heard.
Then there was alot of wasted stuff on Finn talking to his mom. I guess that was cuase it was for yound people, but I found it dumb. The nthe whole thing with Amanda and Jez(Jess). Who were they really. It was never answered. And then if Malificent had all htese powers how could they hold her down with a net at the end. And then I have no clue what happend at the end when they took the ink and spilled it on the plans. Was that making all evil good? I didn't get it?

Wit hall that being said, the new book comes out in Aug. I beleive and I will read that one too. LOL! But I am hoping they have some answers in it as well.

Oh, I didn't know that - thanks for the info!

I was incredibly disappointed in the first book. Such a wonderful premise, and so poorly executed.

I hope this next book is better. A lot better.

Glad it wasn't just me. You are so right. It could've been such a great book, but they just didn't do it right.

I thought it was fun to read, but great literature it was not. I read it not long after finishing the Harry Potter series, so I guess it's not fair comparing it to that. It did make me think twice about the dolls in It's a Small World last week, though!:)

I enjoyed the book although it obviously wasn't writen by a Disney trained imagineer. lol I did read it all the way through and if I really find a book bad I won't finish it. I think the reason they did not answer the questions you asked is so that they can get you to read the series they end up writting. My theory is the one girl (I think it was Amanda) will end up being a princess and the other will follow in the wicked malificents foot steps since I think she is her daughter. See and now I will spend another what $18 to find out if I'm right just what they wanted to happen. That being said my son who read it when he was 11 loved it and can't wait for the next book to come out.

Well they already did say the Amanda and Jez/Jess were sisters, perhaps even twins, and that Jez was under Malificents power. So I don't thin kshe is her daughter. Or they both would be. But I also wondered if Wayne was their grandfather or if he and Malificent were related somehow. I guess I am thinking in adult ways. LOL
But one thing that bugged me was that he kept saying how Walt did this or that, but Walt wasn't even alive when the ground was broken for MK. And then alot of the rides were built later on. So how could those letters get painted in there with out anyones knowledge? It wasn't like Wlat left the directions, becuase those rides weren't nessessarily even thought of when he was alive. And if they knew what letters to paint in the scenery, why couldn't they have figured out the code years ago. LOL See too much adult thinking!

We found this book on tape at Cracker Barrel on the way down to WDW a couple of trips back. We were so excited! We couldn't wait to listen to it, but it turned out to be so poorly written and so darn cheesy, we were sorely disappointed.

I Liked the Book but I noticed this too. It would be imposible for any of the rides but It's a small world to have had anything planned by Walt in it. Splash Mountain was not put in untill 1992, Big Thunder Mt. Railroad was built in 1980 and Winnie the Pooh came in 1999. Plus I might be wrong but I don't think there is an apartment in the fire house in MK. I wish the author had done a little more research.

I bet the author didn't count on kids who would read the book having so much Disney knowledge. lol You are just supposed to get lost in the book and think of it as a fairy tale since none of those are real either. Oops, I didn't just say that. I do believe in princesses and fairies, I do, I do.

Seriously, I was more dissapointed in the writting than the facts.

It has been over a year since I read it so I didn't remember them being sisters. The wicked sister and the good sister kind of like Cinderella.

At then end is where Finn does something and Jez transforms and she looks like Amanda and Amanda says that she is her sister Jess and Malificent had put a spell on her.

I thought the facts would've been better too because i nthe front it says how he went behind the scenes and did many after hour tours to write the book.
