The older sister (Lucy) always bugged me...she had to be in her teens...why did she take the job?
ETA-I just looked her up on IMDB...Barney was her only gig (under that name?).

I'm thinking she is probably a "Broadway" dancer now. Tina and Michael were also irritating.

Michael was hands down the worst child actor in the history of child actors. Sooooooooooo unbelievably annoying!

Was not a fan of Lucy but liked Tina. LOL. Also liked Min who is our own DISer Janette's niece. Janette has updates on her every so often which is fun....maybe she will see this thread and respond.

There was another kid who was a horrid actor too, I think his name was Derrek? He was on the Waiting for Santa video.....I watched that thing about 500 times w/DS12 when he was about 3 or 4 although he would rather eat rusty nails than admit that now.

No. She went to Cosmetology school with my oldest dd...... We know quite a few of the past and present Barney kids. Also several of the kids that have toured with Barney (they didn't do the tv show).

9ds is in a play now with one of hte current Barney kids.

Most of the ones that we know have done lots of other acting jobs before and after -- either community theater, tv and movies.

That's good to know they went on to be other things. You hear so much about kids who acted not turning out well.

I'm almost embarrassed to say I know this but the 20th anniversary of Barney is coming up. A friend of mine is a director for the Barney shows and she will be very busy in the fall due to the anniversary and the big video in the works.

I can't believe I actuallu used to sit down and watch those videos with my oldest.
Michael had to be the most annoying on the show IMO. The little deaf kid (Jason, I think) comes in a close second. The only one that ever showed any kind of talent at all I think was Min.
Cathy was so darn cute though, I wonder what she did after the show?

"Min" will be getting married later this year; she's graduated from college and pursuing a dance career. She's in Chicago right now but planning on moving to NYC so she may be dancing on Broadway someday. The only thing I know she's auditioned for is Lion King and I think it would be very cool if she gets in the show. We'd definitely have to plan a NYC trip!

I cried my dang eyes out when DD's quit watching Barney. Seriously, if I could choose my kids acting like Barney or the current Disney Channel stars (Zach and Codie are the worst to me) I would choose Braney any day of the week. Yes, he was sugarry but I loved the lessons on manners and respect.
20 years, wow! Every now and then we pull out the oldest Barney tape with Sandy Duncan as the mom. Ahhhh, those were the days.
