We are

Me - 42 years old (ouch!)
Wife Denise also 42 (heh heh) I think we refer to her as DW here
Son Tom almost 12, DS?
Daughter Rebecca (Becky) 10 going on 19, and therefor DD

To those of you still with me thanks, just today and tomorrow to go now!

First up breakfast at the Cheyenne, we got an 8 oclock pass, and believe it or not we made it! After that out 2 minute wait and on the bus to the parks.

Today was going to be our Walt Disney Studios Day, we'd done the Animation Courtyard yesterday so the plan was to start off with the Television Tour, why I hear you ask? Be patient my friends I will explain.

We'd arrived at bout 8.45 so spent 15 minutes in Studio 1. I really like it in here, I think it's a great themed area, with a cool, movie making atmosphere, when some of the bands are playing it's a great place to spend an hour.

So at nine eolock the big doors opened at we went staright across to the TV tour, along with about 5 others. The masses headed for the Backlot Tour or Rock n Roller Coaster, but not us.

It's changed quite a lot since our first visit, basically a French Disney Channel host takes you on a tour of the backstage technical facilities (via a pre-recorded video) and finally you end up with a chance to go into the studio where what looks like the French equivelant of Art Attack is filmed. You can also get to play around with some basic blue screen effects.

After that it's on the the Zapping Zone Room? Well this was the reason we started the day here, last visit the queues for CyberSpace Mountian were horrendous, but this time we were first on. I like this ride, we did it at DisneyQuest in WDW 3 years ago, and this is exactly the same, you design your own coaster, and then go in a simulator and ride it.

There are also loads of comuter games, electronic art easels and stuff which kept the kids entertained for ages, in fact we had to drag them out to move on.

We crossed over to the Backstage Tour, which without blowing you away is OK, at least you're sitting down. Past the Dinorama sets, into Calamity Canyon, past the Pearl Harbour planes. Then through the costume department, past a few more props and finally the Reign of Fire scene. It was another freezing cold day so we were especially welcoming of that nice warm dragon fire.

The fastpass wait for Rock n Roller Coaster was about an hour which suited us fine so we picked up our 4 tickets.

It was then time for the second stunt show of the day so we made our way into the arena with about 15 minutes to spare. This is one of, if not the best shows I've seen in any Disney park, and you guys at WDW have got a treat to look forward to when it opens there. For me the best bit is the car ballet.

After that it was time to go back to Rock and Roll! It's a good ride with the pre-show much shorter than in Disney MGM, basically we just see Aerosmith looking at a model of a half finished coaster and then - through you go.

Time for a quick snack next, and abit of a character greeting Stitch was out, and there was far less of a crowd than next door se we got some nice pictures, but by now the skies were a threatening grey, we took our place for the parade and hoped the rain would hold off. I like this parade, the floats are much smaller than in the Disneyland Park, but they're very detailed and it's nice to see characters from Toy Story, and surprise surprise Nemo leading the whole parade off.

It does have a few stops when some of the kids are dragged out to take part, is it just me or is this just done to make a short parade seem longer? anyway we'd now done everything except Armegeddon, but the queues were such that we decided to skip it for now.

We decided to go back to the Cheyenne for a rest , god we must be getting old, 3 years ago we did 17 days at WDW without pausing for breath, this time DW and I need a breather nearly every day.

It was only now I wish we'd had a hotel with a pool, it would have been a nice change of pace to have a swim, but other than that the Cheyenne was a perfect choice for us.

About 5 oclock we went back to Disneyland and took the train tour round the park, before walking down Spooky Street just enjoying being at Disney, as it was raining a little we decided on an indoor ride, and Pirates fitted the bill perfectly. This time there was no queue whatsoever, I guess the cold wet weather had persuaded a lot of people to leave early.

Just for the hell of it we crossed back to Discoveryland, had a rideon Star Tours and Honey I Shrunk the Audience before heading back to the hotel.

On the way we felt like we'd eat in Planet Hollywood, but with the queues stretching beyond the end of the staircase thought better of it. It was at that point I managed to persuade the kids they weren't that hungry anyway and a McDonalds would do, so a burger it was and a walk round the lake.

2 years earlier we'd been to New York, and my DS said he'd liked to have stayed at the Hotel New York so on the way back we had a look round, and if we ever win the lottery we'll go back there, very nice, very classy.

It hardly seemd possible than less than a week ago we were packing our bags to come to DLP for our holiday, and now here we were going to bed for the last time at the Hotel Cheyenne, still becuase the Eurostar didn't leave until 7.30 in the evening we would have one last full day in teh magic......
