Cast of Characters:
Me: 28, lover of all things Disney and co-planner (4th trip)
Sister (M): 15, 1st time @ WDW, 1st time flying, 1st time taking a real vacation
Cousin (DC): 32, loves WDW (although he tries to deny it) very good at always being 9 feet in front of everyone else
Cousin's Wife (DCW): almost 30, lover of Disney, co-planner -has the patient of a saint
Cousin's son (DCS): 5, he is by far the funniest child I have ever met. he had me laughing (even through the medicine induced fog) the entire trip
Sorry my previous reports have been so long-just trying to get the point across.
Day 2:
After a good night's sleep (the last I will have for the next 2 weeks), we make it to the food court before heading out to EPCOT. Just want to mention a few things. First, I love the beds @ the ASMo. They are so comfortable. Second, I love the food court. We are simple people and the food court works so well for us. Especially since M eats like a bird and what she eats consists mostly of bagels, pizza, pizza, and more pizza. $49 for the Hoop de doo and she ate 3 pieces of chicken.
Anyway, I realize we made the same mistake we made 2 years ago. We stayed at a resort the was overtaken by cheerleaders. I am a people person. The cheerleaders drove me crazy (not all but most). First, DC has pseorisis (?). It is caused by nerves and is quite visible on his legs. He is quite embarrased by it and thought he could escape it being on vacation (after all, he was going to WDW and who would be so rude to point it out there). While @ the food court, a group of cheerleaders were. They pointed at his legs and made negative comments. These cheerleaders were old enough to know better. DC was very very embarassed and quite upset as you can imagine.
After that it was all downhill. When I'm on vacation, I usually don't care what anyone around me is doing as long as they are leaving me alone. I really did not want to hear them cheering @ 10:30 at night after spending all day @ the parks. I really felt they were being loud and very obnoxious. Maybe it was me. Maybe I was just tired and cranky. But it continued the enitre trip. And there never appeared to being anyone in charge.
Oh well, lesson to me-avoid this particular week from now on.
