The Incredible Shrinking RESTROOMS!

Have you noticed that as more Disney World parks are built, some of the restrooms (especially at the front of the park) keep getting SMALLER?

MK - The "main" restrooms between City Hall and the Fire Station are HUGE.
EC - There are large restrooms on either "pathway" under Spaceship Earth.
MGM - The restrooms near the "Gas Station" are moderate size.
AK - The entrance restrooms are downright dinky.

What's the deal with THAT?

Next theme-park (for arguments' sake, "Beastly Kingdom') may have a "two-holer" with a crescent moon on the door. (Ask your grandfather.)

But I hate to think what size restrooms they'll need if they ever build "DisneySEA" at WDW... with all that WATER in constant view.

Maybe popularity of each park at opening time (when most people will use these facilities?)?

Why not make all restrooms uni-sex, like in Europe? Put urinals in stalls with toilets, everyone does their business "privately", then no waiting in line for the ladies room while the men's room is empty.

To anyone who has been to Europe, this makes perfect sense and works well. It's not a big deal. Afterall, who here has a "men's" room and a "women's" room in their homes?! Don't most of us share??

due to my age I always make sure I know where the bathrooms are. as long as they are around I don't care what size they are. wouldn't mind if there was even more of them.

I'm in Europe and it'd be really odd to see a unisex toilet anywhere around here (in the UK that is)! I have seen it in other countries though, and to me it is a big deal. I just don't like it.

MGM also has a bathroom just outside of the gates and it's HUGE!! The one near the gas station is quite large actually.

And in AK, don't forget that there are bathrooms in the RFC just outside the front entrance, as well as a decently sized bathroom on the right just before the entrance. Then there's that smaller one on the left just after the entrance.

Sorry to disappoint you, but in western Europe (haven't been to the east, so can't talk 'bout them) this is definately not the norm. If you go down to the south of Europe, you'll still find enough of those formentioned "holes in the floor", but they're becoming lesser and lesser. "Biggest" thing you can run into is enough countries around the middle east having an outdated plumbing which means you can't flush any toiletpaper.

And yeah, we Dutch guys are a bit ladida, so the first "companion female toilet" was just open. Imagine 2 toilets without a wall or anything between them. Some weird story about guys talking to eachother while using urinals so we females should have the same oppertunity. Never mind, I'll just go to the ladies with a bit more privacy and talk through the door if needed. Because yes, we also go to the ladies to gossip about stuff. Somethings are the same no matter where you go.
