HI all,
Can someone please tell me as specifically as possible what the drink other than water will be (and where) and what food/clif product will be at the food stop? Thanks so much!

From the FAQ......

How many water stops are there on course? Nine Dasani water/PowerAde stops will be available along the Half Marathon course. Twenty-two stops will be available along the Full Marathon course.
What flavor of PowerAde will be on the course? Lemon-lime PowerAde will be served at the stops, however, the PowerAde flavor is subject to change. (My Note: Powerade is half strength)

What food will be on the course? Assorted flavors of Clif Shots will be provided at 8.7 miles on the Half Marathon course and at Miles 14, 16 and 19 on the Full Marathon course. Also available on the Full Marathon course are bananas at Mile 14, sponges at Mile 17.5 and candy at Mile 23.

Course maps show water/food stops.......

Are the Clif shots gel, roks, or bloks?

Thanks!

They were the Gels. FWIW, the Powerade was not always half strength - I got some that was close to being syrup, and some that was close to being water. It can vary considerably.

I can add to this and say the powerade is mixed by hand at each water stop. Volunteers do this so depending on the person in charge of that area and how they read the instructions will depend on the strength. I worked at a stop so this I can tell you with experience. If in doubt, always grab a water when you are thinkinn of taking the powerade, that way you can dilute it a bit with the water if it is too strong for you.
The flavors of the gels is never really known, it is what ever Clif wants to give to Disney. So if you are ok with pretty much whatever flavors they have then cool, if not then you may want to take some that you like with you.
I know on the half course the gel stop was after the Poly and before the water stop so that worked out good in that you had water to wash down your gel with.

The last two years they have had Mango flavor clif gels when I got to the tables. I don't care for Clif gels so I always bring Gu's. Also.....if your slow like me.....they might run out of candy before you get to mgm (I am about 15 minutes per mile).

The candy at mile 23 was the best thing I have ever seen in my life - LOL. Actually the WISH team out at the turn around by Wide World of Sports between mile 20 and mile 21 was the best - whoever had the twizzlers and Skittles that was a God send at that point. After running for too long banana's make me sick to my stomach so I skipped the banana's - beside they situate them right in the worst smelling parts of the full course - the wastewater treatment area. I had my own Cliff shot gels last year so I didn't stop for the ones on the course. I think I am switching to Powerade gels - they are thinner and I can swallow them better - the Cliff gels are kind of thick. I never realized how much eating and drinking a person can do during a marathon - LOL

Not adding much but Cliff Shots are gels.

I agree that the strength of sport drink varies from stop to stop. Generally half strength but some times it still has the powder floating in the liquid.

Always plan on cutting sport drink and providing your own gel/black or other nutrition.
