The Implosion of John Kerry?

I really know nothing about you. For all I know, you may just want to keep the Country Club from becomming [sic] integrated, or something.

Do you know what actually might be interpreted as hostile? This comment, Minniepumpernickel, might be interpreted as an insult. I might interpret this comment as a thinly veiled accusation that I am a racist.

How does my support of Bush and nonsupport of Kerry paint me as a racist? This is a classic tactic of the Democratic party. Please, the rest of you, who know exactly what I'm talking about, chime in. I have to go for a bit, but I'll check back later.

Again, Minniepumpernickel, you are completely devoid of any substance whatsoever. Your arguments are nonsense, and you have no facts to back your feelings up.

My arguments, however were based on current news stories that I questioned. The news stories are sourced and they are based on affidavits of former SBV and SBV/OIC.

I stated in a very recent post, addressing Minniepumpernickel:
Edited to add: You also "feel" that it isn't fair to criticize Kerry's Viet Nam service because Bush didn't serve in Viet Nam. This is nonsense. We criticize candidates' records--be it service, management, etc. By your argument, we cannot criticize Kerry's Senatorial record, because Bush wasn't a Senator. Or, we can't criticize Bush's record as Governor, because Kerry is a Senator. Where is the logic in this argument?

Furthermore, my original post wasn't criticizing Kerry's service record, it was critical of Kerry's lawyers' heavy-handed tactics in their attempt to suppress the SBV's allegation(s). It was also questioning why Kerry's lawyers felt they should threaten the TV stations who wanted to run the ads, rather than the SBV.

Well first of all she called Dana a democrat. Is Dana a democrat? I don't recall her stating her preference, do you?

I grew up in the south, Mickey, you don't read my posts, eh! So you've been too busy attending too many snake handling festivals to care, huh?

Mickey, I am kidding , you are way too fervent and serious to laugh at something??

To imply that one is catty is really a sexist description. It means that one is jealous of other women, and enjoys fighting only with them. I'm not really the jealous type, I enjoy celebrating other women's beauty and successes. I guess that is one reason why I stuck up for Dana.:D

If you are really catty, I guess that deserves further analysis. Do you criticize men too?:D

actually Catty is defined as Slyly spiteful......no gender reference at all in my dictionary..

both comments I referenced before seemed mean spirited,,I would have commented whether both posts were by females, males, or one of each.....

and I don't see trying to be a peacemaker as criticizing..:smooth:

Geesh, too many nuts on the internet today! I don't mean you Mickey88.

Mickey I think that if you check the slang dictionary you will see that the term is generally applied to women. :D

Thank you. I agree that those comments were catty (of course, since they were directed at me, I'm not exactly objective), and I did not find your comment derisive towards women.

Insults are used by some people to deflect attention from the issues. And, Minniepumpernickel-- people lack integrity when they deny the insults are actually just that-- insults.

Well if you really believe that, then you should change the title of your original post. Kerry is not imploding. To imply that one is imploding could be considered an insult. Especially since it is incorrect.

So where is your integrity?

Yeah, and you better start reading my posts from now on for gosh sakes. ;)

Why are you taking her side anyway? Aren't I prettier than her? Isn't that what really matters in life? :earseek:

Just trying to annoy you, and keep the cattiness going. :earseek:

Ack, I'm outa here!:jester:

This thread is hilarious :rotfl:

The original post in this thread has to be the silliest thing I've seen yet out of the right wing ::yes:: Are you guys really that frightened that your boy is going to get whipped in November, that you have to cling to the lies of a bunch of right-wing-funded men that can't even get their story straight among themselves ? Criminy, the guy that co-wrote the book is also an anti-semite, anti-catholic, anti-muslim, homophobic bigot. Is that really the side you want to be on ? Unbelievable....

Too funny....Hmmm...Let's see....The Republicans have nominated a certified bigot (not that one...a different one...the Eugenics guy) in one race, and they're running the monstrously hypocritical Alan Keyes against one of the strongest democratic candidates in decades in another....Seems to me that it's not the Democratic Party in danger of imploding :hyper:

I'm new to the board. But, I have been to Disney World three times so I thought that this would be a good place to "play". I was surprised to see such political discussions as this one on a Disney board, . . . . . . . .aid so! it doesn't matter how he'll get the jobs back, he will! it doesn't matter that he really doesn't have a plan on how to get rid of Bin Laden, I know he will because he is not George Bush, and Bush is! We need to vote him out and have a regime change.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!"...................A real class act.

Btw, louie, welcome to the new hangout for the displaced Debate Board warriors. It gets lively, and sometimes downright mean, but it's always interesting.

I just have to jump back into this "conversation". If we go back to the original post we would find these comments by Kendra17....

" It looks like this can be the downfall of the Kerry campaign and, essentially, the end (we can only hope) of the Democratic Party."

" I would like to see an end to the current twisted incarnation of the Democratic Party."

"Your classic liberal shrillness is completely unconvincing to any discerning ear or eye."

Seems to me Kendra that you set the tone of "hostility" for this thread.

But that's the typical Republican tactic these days...attack-attack-attack....Then whine when the other side decides to fight fire with fire....Happens all the time.

This is the party that screamed nine-ways-from-Sunday about an ad that compared Bush to Hitler that appeared on a liberal fringe group's website (briefly), but saw no problem with calling Hitler a member of "John Kerry's Democratic Party" on it's OWN website. Hypocrisy is almost a given with Republicans these days...

So true. But, she must take her lead from the shrub and his administration. If she didn't, where would she be???

She's running from the shrub's record because she can't defend it.

To site a republican smear site as "proof" of anything is a far cry from a plausable argument.

I also find myself wondering if she isn't related to DawnCt... Their posting styles are so similar...

Of course it does. And that is precisely what has angered so many vets.

And, by the way, hasn't it been shown that the swift vet doctor who claims he treated Kerry's wound is not the doctor who signed any of Kerry's medical treatment papers?

Here's explanation part deux for that little discrepancy. Dr. Letson was too busy to sign the medical treatment papers.

This is downright bizarre, but what do you expect.

Follow the bouncing ball:

John O'Neill caught the eye of Richard Nixon and Charles Colson and later on, became William Rhenquist's law clerk. William Rhenquist was appointed to the Supreme Court by........drumroll, please..........Richard Nixon. What a fortuitious meeting for Mr. O'Neill.

Mr. O'Neill is also a partner in a Houston law firm that included Tex Lezar a star in Texas right wing politics. The late Mr. Lezar's widow is none other than Merrie Spaeth who happens to be the consultant for "Swift Vets". Ms. Spaeth was also a media consultant to Kenneth Starr, who I'm sure needs no introduction.

Hold on to your hat, it gets better. One of Mr. O'Neill's law partners, the name escapes me, represents Daddy Bush 41.

The "Swift Vet" book is published by Regnery Publishing which publishes other books such as:

1) Inside the Asylum

by Jed Babbin
Hardcover - (June 2004) - $27.95

If John Kerry and Hillary Clinton have their way, Kofi Annan and Jacques Chirac will gain veto power over American foreign policy.

Scared? You should be. It could happen. And in Inside the Asylum, former deputy undersecretary of defense Jed Babbin shows just how it could happen and why the UN deserves the nickname “The Asylum.”

2) Madame Hillary

by R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr. with Mark Davis
Hardcover - (February 2004) - $27.95

Prepare the way for President Hillary! Her Dark Road to the White House Revealed at Last… No one knows Hillary Clinton the way R. Emmett Tyrrell and Mark Davis know her. Tyrrell’s American Spectator was the magazine of record for breaking stories on the Clinton administration. For eight solid years it was the administration’s most formidable journalistic opponent—a persistent (as well as a devastatingly perceptive and witty) obstacle to the Clintons’ attempts to hoodwink the public and whitewash their own corruption. Former White House speechwriter and longtime Clinton watcher and chronicler Mark Davis has compiled devastating files of research on Hillary.

Starting to see a pattern developing here.

Regnery Publishing has a financial tie to Richard Mellon Scaife, who funded the American Spectator story that uncovered Paula Jones.

And it goes on, and on, and on. You couldn't make this stuff up.

Regnery Publishing has a thing for conservative political writers. But I think you could find the reverse is true for other publishers.

I wonder how a poster registered in July would be familiar with DawnCt's posting style. :p

Hey, you might not LIKE what I am saying and that is absolutely okay with me. But, I also notice that you have nothing of SUBSTANCE to add to the allegations at hand.

Have a wonderful day!

That's me, darlin' - not much going on upstairs, nothing substantive for sure. ;)

Oh and I wasn't so much thinking about free speech in referring to holding your breath. But your bit about "A democratic desire to suppress free speech," now THAT is the best oxymoron I've heard all day.

I also find myself wondering if she isn't related to DawnCt... Their posting styles are so similar...

You're right, they are similar. Sling as much mud as possible and hope some of it sticks....

Easy...DawnCT and DawnCT1 are one and the same. DawnCT1 has posts in July. It only takes a couple of her posts to figure out the style.

The Republicans have nominated a certified bigot (not that one...a different one...the Eugenics guy)

Well let's at least be fair about this one. That guy is not getting the support of the Republican party last I heard. I mean Lyndon LaRouche ran a number of times as a Democrat, for example. Neither party has a corner on attracting nutburgers.
