So, we've had 2 MVMCPs so far and I've heard some great things. If you're going to an upcoming party (looks like the next one is tomorrow 11/15), please come back and give us your report!:thumbsup2

3 parties sold out now. For those who have attended one this year, how have the crowds been for the parades? I've always heard you wouldn't want to be there if it is sold out due to crowds but haven't heard many complaints about crowds this year. Just hoping we don't have to line up hours before to see the parade.

Tomorrow night's MVMCP is sold out. So far all the parties have sold out. Hope this isn't a trend . . . .

Wow. Just wow.

Do you have to be on Main Street to see it? I was thinking we may have to be in line for the Dwarfs by then? Thanks.

Yes, you need to be on Main Street to see the castle lighting. We always do this on a night we're not attending MVMCP so we can be in line for what we want to do first during that time.

...except that there is a party tonight. But still 3 out of the first 4 is pretty remarkable.

I'm guessing this has something to do with the new Fantasyland being open so little during the day but open during the party. Gonna be interesting to see how the parties do when it's open for good and the parties are going again.

ETA: I just saw that original report was posted yesterday, so that would mean it's tonight's party that is indeed sold out. Any word on tomorrow night?

I have a quick question, I saw a video of the MVMCP parade and you can see the castle from the behind. Where did this person stand to get that great footage?

thanks again!

I was able to get tickets this morning at 7am for Friday's party. My original plan was for tonight but I was too late! Had to move a few things around so I hope it'll be worth it.

My family, 4, will be attending the party on 11/27
hoping to call DVC MS tonight to order

We have been going back and forth on deciding to go to the party or not, but today I decided to go for it. I am surprising the kids with the trip and then my mom and aunt are flying down from MA to surprise the kids there (we live in FL.) So there will be 7 of us total at the Dec. 9th party.

I'm a little worried about crowds because of everything going on that weekend but it is the only one that worked for us. I am so hoping my kids will be able to stay up late the night of the party, I am worried I will pay the extra $300 and they will get tired early! They manage to stay up super late at home, but at Disney they get tired so much faster. Our plan is to do nothing in the morning then head over to the park in the late afternoon.

Posted the following on another thread, but I thought I'd post it here too for your ease of reference. Happy planning!

Attended MVMCP for the first time on Mon 11/12 and had a great night! Here's how we spent our time:

Arrived @ 5pm and was in line for a pic with the 7 dwarfs by 5:30pm. DH waited in line with a sleeping DD5 while DS3 and I rode Magic Carpets, watched the 6:15 castle lighting and grabbed a couple to-go meals from Pecos Bill's. Had our Christmas card photo done by 7:15 and were on our way...

After our photo, we spent the next couple of hours walking onto rides while most everyone else waited for/watched the 1st parade. Rode Buzz Lightyear 5 times in a row with no waiting. So nice to be able to say "YES!" to DS's pleas of "Again! Again!" :thumbsup2

Watched Celebrate the Magic's debut and the fireworks from in front of the Castle... REALLY magical. pixiedust:

Next headed to CHH for cocoa/cookies/apple slices and carried them over to the Frontierland/Liberty Square area to grab seats on the curb for the 10:30 parade. (Line really wasn't that long. Took less than 5 minutes for DH to get through it.) Front row seats by the rope and I'm surprised my kids' arms didn't fall off as much as they were waving at all the characters. :wave2: Loved the "scented" floats, especially Goofy's candy float. My favorite part? I thought the toy soldiers rocked it!

After the parade, we walked back to CHH for more cocoa and a couple sugar cookies. Walked right up to the counter with no wait. (No apple slices or choc chip cookies left though.)

Spent the last hour in FantasyLand. Did ETWB next. Only waited about 10 minutes. DS3 was chosen as Beast because he had such a good roar. ;) He really liked the red cape he got to wear! Very cool mirror and other effects. So glad we were able to do this. And we got several great photos of DD and DS with Belle. (Bonus: Belle remembered both kids from breakfast at Akershus the day before and mentioned it to them. DD was over the moon at that!)

Wrapped up the night with the Carousel and Small World at DD's request. At midnight, we headed for Main Street to get some last minute pics and play in the snow before heading out. Both kids were out like lights on the ride back to PoP.

Overall, a Very Merry time indeed. :santa:
