I just saw the forecast in the 5 o'clock news. It's going to be colder than I thought and they mentioned a possibility for snow for us, too. I know it's not at all comparable to those north of us, but it's bad for us. I can stay home, but DH has to be out in it. Body shops aren't heated the way a house is.

That would be tough. How's he doing by the way?

We finally got the car dug out this weekend; I woke up today and it is covered in snow again!@#$!&!&!!!!!

It's really hard to believe that in about 5 months I'll be complaining about the heat

He had an mri last week. He saw the doctor again last Friday. He has 3 bulging discs, but he hasn't had a blow out like the last time he HAD to have surgery. He's been resting more and that is helping. He's on a new anti-inflammatory and a new pain medicine. (He didn't like taking a narcotic.) Continued rest and the meds should help. Once he starts to feel better, he can begin doing his physical therapy exercises again. Things aren't good, but surgery isn't imminent. The doctor really wants him to change jobs.

Our back yard fence along the street was as flat as a pancake. The basketball goal was down and our garbage cans tipped over. This was supposed to blow through today . . . but the weather dudes missed it by a few hours. Good things our dogs were inside, or they would be gone! I'm just glad it wasn't worse though. No snow/ice yet, but I'm on weather watch. The news is calling for a 40% change of snow Thursday night and Friday morning. I'm telling you . . . we are not prepared for this.

And they thought Dallas would be a good place to have the Super Bowl in February. I saw where the airport was shut down this morning. Oooops.

Your fence tops my tree branch. Glad your dogs were in. We had a big branch come down, toppled trash cans, and a little playhouse fell over and blew across the yard. It's almost to the porch now. I'm going to keep a close eye on Friday/Saturday's weather. The kids and I are going to Tomball for my nephew's 5th birthday. DH has a class and won't be with us. No way I'm driving on ice. I know I can't.

My mom is in North Texas, she texted last night that they had already shut down the schools (she's a teacher). She's been sending pictures of the snow all morning.

I definitley feel for all of you in the north.

You wont' believe this, but I'm going to the show this Sunday and he is not in it. Melissa Ethridge is filling in and I'm dying to see how she handles it. I really like her and hope she does well. I told DH I need tickets for the evening of 2/27 - that is BJ's last scheduled performance and I'm sure they will do something special.

I will have my flamethrower all ready to go!

Aaarrrr. It's 29 here and feels like 18.



I'm ignoring that my older son (who is a personal trainer) was out driving in the storm this morning and heard the famous "freight train" sound people always talk about when there is a tornado. Really glad I did not know that sooner today. It may not have been an official one, but dang it was too close for comfort.
