The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

it wasn't scary, the first one had me thinking I had an inner ear infection our something rofl! the next one I had to wake dh up to see if he could feel it too, he told me I was crazy, but then I saw it was all over FB.

Should we do a twitter name swap and follow each other?

mine is the same as on here

LOL @ inner ear infection

so, I have had a very full day.

not long after my last post in this thread I went home for my healthy lunch. 20 minutes into my lunch break I was called by a colleague who let me know one of the houses I manage (I'm a property manager) had burnt down...

so I cut my lunch short to go and investigate. they were still putting it out when I got there. then I had the pleasure of informing the owner, only for him to go really quiet and say "but it's not insured..." I can only imagine the sinking feeling in his stomach. Not only will they get nothing for the house, but they have to pay to have it demolished too...

so dealing with that is how I spent the rest of my day.

And now tonight I was feeding my fur babies before going to bed and I felt/heard this thumping noise, shaking the windows, walls and stuff. Figured it was a plane that I could feel but couldn't hear- if that makes sense. Then I felt it again. Turns out Tamworth has had its first earthquake in almost 50 years! and we had 2 of them!

now I'm too excited to sleep!

What a start to the weekend!

Sheesh, after that lot you'll need a bit of R & R over the weekend!

Andona

just followed you bec, I'm the same as on here too

that's ok, I am too, but I retweet interesting stuff from interesting people :p

interesting, it was definitely felt more then 60km from the epientre though, my cousin felt it in Armidale and that's 110km from here and lake keepit is in the other direction. it was even felt in guyra which is further away again, and in moree which is over 2 hours drive from here...

What ungodly hour do you call this?

The hour when I almost leave for work every Saturday

bleugh

Can't wait until tonight when my day is done and DH has cooked me a roast for dinner, and i'll get a dvd on the way home :thumbsup2

Think my alarm woke my cat up too and he didn't appreciate it, as I went to pat him and he took a swipe at me, taking a little bit of skin as a souvenir :sad2:

Does anybody else ever look at a work that is spelled right but just looks wrong? English is annoying... (which English though? The English English or the American English? LOL)

we get up at 4.50am every morning for work so i feel your pain!!!! my problem is that since we work similar hours there is never any kind of magic fairy to cook me dinner or clean the house :(

sounds like you need a slow cooker.......we just got one and it ROCKS!

Saturday morning and I need to clean the house. Any chance that Aldi has a slow cleaner instead of a slow cooker?

On second thoughts, I need a fast cleaner instead.

3.5 hours to go until my weekend :)

Just on 5 hours for me :headache: After a week of unpaid prac with Kindy, I'm buggered and the last thing I wanted to do was to work today! But money, money, money!

Seven days down out of my nineteen day prac :goodvibes

Yesterday was the athletics carnival and one of my poor kinder kids had a breakdown in the middle of a race. The five years girls were doing the 70 meter race when Miss K lost her shoe and burst into tears :guilty: Poor darling, my teacher & I calmed her down, tied her shoelaces properly and then held her hands and ran with her in the five years boys race :lmao: Great way to start the morning, seeing three 5 year old boys run faster then us :rotfl:

But I realllllly want to skip next week....start Tuesday morning with a THEOLOGY exam :scared: dreading that BIG time even though I have the questions and get to take my textbook in, our poor lecturer took pity on us :woohoo: but still going over my head and don't know why I need to know the content to teach in a Catholic school :confused3

Then I start Wednesday morning with an hour long lesson to be watched by my university supervisor, then have recess and have another hour long lesson watched by my university supervisor which is a team teaching lesson (so two classes together with two teachers, the other one is another prac student :headache: )

Go onto Thursday and I have another exam in the afternoon but at last its a multiple choice PDHPE exam and that will be my last EVER UNI EXAM :thumbsup2

Friday will be good though, back with my kindy's and we have a mass we're running for the whole school that takes all morning so everyone will be watching how cute they are

Plus 131 sleeps to go!!!

good luck for your exams.....and enjoy the LAST feeling. Who knows? You might miss it all and decide to go do another degree in a couple of years or so. ;)

good luck sam - i remember thinking after my last exam, i'd burn my textbooks, but the practical side of me that hates the idea of burning any kind of book took over (and i was like, omg, i paid how much for that book? no way i'm trashing it!!) i still have some of mine... but that awesome feeling of 'IT'S FINALLY OVER' should be treasured for a long time to come :cool1:

we're at 168 days ourselves... i've set up a calendar reminder on my phone every 10 days until we leave :) i love countdowns :)

38 Days to go!!!

:dance3:

Have got the DFL here watching the wrestling with my DH. Boy, i'm in for a good afternoon popcorn::

Thank god I have got the laptop to be able to research. :surfweb:
