The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

OMG, I can hardly even bear reading this because, as much as I love Mickey, I have a terrible phobia for real mice and rats :eek::eek::eek:

Its bad - we have almost become desensitized to it !
Although its another use for DH "lifting heavy things and dead animals" Makes me wonder how I would manage without him! :lovestruc

Eek... the mice would give me the heeby jeebies! I remember at boarding school there was a mouse/mice plague, it was horrendous, I will never forget the smell in our pantry!

Hope the little critters :moped: soon and leave you all in peace.

I hope all of those who are  rest, stay warm, have lots of chicken soup and are on the mend soon :goodvibes

Have you considered a cat???

:rolleyes1

I have a possum that line dances over my bedroom at night..does that count???

We live next to a reserve so every time they mow the lawn the entire reserve community relocates to our back yard.....lions and tigers and bears:crowded:

At least the snakes keep down the mice numbers as do the blue tongues:moped:

I'm still sick..day 7......:sick:My boss is pleading with me not to come in until I am back to normal..that could take a while:confused3....and what is normal??

I ask myself, if I could fly out tomorrow to wdw would I....and at the moment I would rather go to bed, so that tells me I must be sick.....

Take care of yourself.

Day 21....and I'm starting to feel like I can cook dinner and do light chores around the house. I guess that's getting back to normal.

Its like when the kids have head lice no one wants to talk about it, and you feel like "the dirty family"
::yes:: I know that feeling, then when you finally do say something, you find out that everyone is in the same boat :rotfl:

Oh My! :lmao:

:scared1: at the numbers of the little critters being caught, i'm not scared of alot but rodents :scared1::scared1::scared1:

DH did find a hairless baby rat a little while ago in the pool filter, much too big to be a mouse, the only one we've seen since we've moved in.

Pretty sure we have snakes close by, maybe they're keeping them at bay (i'd totally rather the snakes )

:offtopic:

Whose watching The Voice?

Some of the singers are very talented, so much better than Aust Idol ever was :thumbsup2

DS is also getting excited, he can't wait to go on BTMRR, and then he says "we need to go to Disneyland in October for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" (going to try and get tickets for the DW one :thumbsup2)

I can never even remember what that is called half the time and he came out with it, he said he remembers it from the planning show :goodvibes

addicted to The Voice :happytv:

What do you think of Karise? I actually really dislike that Amy Whinehouse style of singing :rolleyes1
It just sounds nasally and well, a little bit whiney.

I loved Adam Hoek singing Somewhere over the rainbow, he has a great voice.
I'm sure I heard a bit of Judy Garland in there when Rachael sang, there were bits I thought it could be her singing.

No mice last night, but we have a big problem with birds, just cause they can fly doesn't mean they can use my back deck and outdoor furniture as a toilet!!!:mad::mad:

We had one leave a nice big poo running down the pool fence  I think it's the same one squawking every morning as it flies into the fence derr

jeez you go away for a few days and when you come back you discover that you've totally lost the thread :)

so sorry to hear that some of us are unwell... my flu seems to be work related -- i walk into the building in the morning and i get cold and sniffly and it hurts to breathe and my bones ache... and by about 8pm when i'm home and snuggled under a doona on the couch .. i feel pretty normal. or maybe it's just one of those on again/off again flu things. who can say?? :confused3

re: the animals -- our townhouse backs onto wild bushland so since we've moved in we've had the following: bush cat (a wild cat who used to let us feed it sometimes), bush dragon (a small water dragon who likes to sun himself on the rain gutter directly above my head when i walk out the door), bush lizard (a giant blue tongue who loves to hide in the bushes in my back yard), various willy wag tails and owls and kookaburras. oh, and a possum who loves to watch me in the middle of the night from outside my bedroom window... waking up to see big eyes glowing at you from outside your 2nd story window... yeah, that's a few years of my life i'm not getting back thankuverymuch... carlo says he's seen snakes but i like to think he's just a hideous liar and snakes live somewhere else far far far far far far far far away.

we had family stay with us for the weekend so that was great and awesome and wonderful and exhausting. so now to put the house back to rights and do laundry and vacuum and ... oh, forget it. i'm going back to snuggling on the couch and watching the voice and the block episodes from last night on my laptop. i'm also addicted to the block. i used to watch biggest loser for the inspiration, but the block totally won me over for that time slot each evening.

oh, and did i mention i hate reality tv shows? but i can't get enough of the block and the voice.. i don't know what's wrong with me :happytv:

Chicken soup all round?

I've made a massive pot :goodvibes

Smells and tastes like chicken :thumbsup2 It's a good sign

BecBennett, I love your avatar. Gotta love Fosters :thumbsup2

Yeah! I just downloaded the whole series, and am slowly making my way through them. Funny stuff.

I just want to quickly voice my disdain at Qantas. They got me all excited with their fly free promotion, and of course when I look into it you've got a 1 in 31 chance of winning, which is pretty good odds. So I get very tempted to book the Disney promo, and hope that I win free flights.

Then I look into the price. Extortion!! :scared1: When you take the price of a base ticket, and the price of 7 nights accomm. off the price they're advertising, you see that they're almost charging $3000 per person for flights! I bet that's not how much gets taken off if you win the prize though... :sad2:

I also missed out on buying tickets in tonights Oz Lotto... I really could have used that $50,000,000.00 :rotfl:
