How is the food there? I have ressie's but wondering if I should make something for 'outside of the park' instead? I did it thinking I would do the Fantasmic package, but, it isn't available that day.

We love it! The Ahi Tuna entree is to die for good. We have had excellent food and service there. We're going again next week with the FP.

We've eaten there several times and have enjoyed it. DH loves the tuna and I usually get the salmon that is very good. I tried a Godiva white chocolate martini there last time and it was fabulous.

What about for lunch? Debated going and ordering the cobb salad, but I am concerned about the price. Do they have a bar area where you could order salad and enjoy an adult beverage?

I was skeptical about it when my wife wanted to go there on our last trip, and I ended up loving it, without a doubt one of the best meals we've had. The Ahi Tuna, Cobb Salad and Grapefruit cake are all must-dos. You should definitely go.

Not a fan. We went once for my DH's 50th birthday (granted this was seven years ago now). We went for lunch and there were a total of five tables occupied the entire time we were there. It took over 90 minutes for our meal; had to send my steak back twice and it still wasn't right. My DH, who loves his desserts, tried the much talked about grapefruit cake and thought it was disgusting. Yes, it could have been an "off" day, but we haven't gone back and more than likely won't. There are too many other places we enjoy eating at and just don't think BD is worth two credits a piece on the dining plan.

We've been 3 or 4 times over the course of 10 years. OK, but not great. Cobb salad as a lunch entree is excellent. If you're on the dining plan, not worth 2 credits, IMO.

I agree, a bad deal on the dining plan. We've eaten here several times and prefer the dinner menu over the lunch menu. The ahi entree is the best piece of tuna I've ever had anywhere but some of the other choices have been disappointing. I don't recall a bar area where you can order a drink and eat at the bar. My husband loves that cobb salad; I personally can't stand the thought of a salad that looks and feels like oatmeal.

It is one of the favorite places for DH and I. We really enjoy it (have only done lunch and don't use the dining plan). I would say it isn't worth 2 credits on the dining plan but the cobb salad was amazing. I am not to crazy about the grapefruit cake but their creme brulee was one of the best we have had on property. DH had the steak for lunch once and really enjoyed it although he didn't like the noodle bowl he got last time when we were there for dine with an imagineer.

We absolutely love the BD! And can't wait to go back in May. We love the service and atmosphere and the food is divine! However, the BD is not a rush in, eat and rush out kinda place. If you are looking for a break from the parks and want a great meal then go here. If you are looking for a quick fuel up and then back to running, you might want to consider another restaurant.
Just my opinion though :)

We ate here for the first time this past October and didn't like it. My chicken was over cooked and bland, it had a big nasty piece of fat on one side, and the rice it came with was also bland. My BF ordered his steak well done and it was rare when it came out. He sent it back and the server returned it to him 'medium.' He gave up and just ate it, but we were not impressed for the money it cost.

Two thumbs down here. It was our least favorite signature meal on our vacaction last year, but we did get to meet a nice couple and had some great conversations with them and they shared their disappointment as well.

I'd also say the service was less then desirable as well, very slow, but it could have just been the day/server, I'd give that piece a second chance if the food was better then it was.

The food is fantastic, especially when you think you are eating inside of a theme park. Elegant atmosphere, wonderful servers, and a full bar. Check out the duck 2-ways if they still have it on the menu, and have a cobb salad for me.

We go twice a year to DW and the Brown Derby is a must with us. Never had a bad meal. Can't wait to go back in April for the Cobb Salad.
Nancy :thumbsup2

We've always had good meals here and has been a repeat restaurant for us. However, I will say that I haven't ever had "outstanding" service here, but it hasn't been "bad." Just average. I think you should try it for yourself! :)

I always get the Cobb salad and the creme brulee and they are always spectacular. I know many people who say this is their favorite MGM restaurant.

The BD used to be a must do for us. However, about 4 years ago we noticed a drop in service and flavor. We did not feel our last meal was worth the cost and there are so many more that we felt that were so we have never looked back. I do miss the Grapefruit cake but life moves on.
