Well we’re fortunate enough to be visiting the World again in October and thanks to a “tip off” on these wonderful boards about a VH error – I mean deal - we got an absolute bargain. Fantastic for this year but certainly will spoil things for years to come as we will never match that price again! :cool1:

I booked the trip last September so had just over a year to go and I can’t believe that in less than 2 weeks we’ll be there!! :woohoo:

We had contemplated surprising the girls but decided against it and I’m so glad we did. We talk constantly about our trip and the girls are getting to plan a whole day each and they are putting lots of effort into it so can’t wait to see their final plans. They even spent a rainy day designing a new ride and I have to say I was very impressed – they were far too scary for me but I would have watched!! :lmao:

It will be Steve and Maisie’s birthday while we’re there so hoping to do a couple of little extras. We’ve booked the family tour @ MK on Maisie’s birthday as she definitely wants to be in that park on her birthday and then she wants to eat at the Garden Grill in Epcot as this was everyone’s favourite character meal last time.

It’s was bit awkward planning for Steve’s birthday as it’s our first full day there so we may be a little jaded in the evening after our usual early morning start. Last time we got up at 5.30am on our first day so ended up having a siesta that afternoon and then getting back up at 6.00pm and going out for the evening parades and fireworks. It was really hard waking the girls and getting them motivated but once we were out we had a great time and they loved it and it worked a treat for the next morning. So Steve’s having an “official” birthday (like the Queen) the day after his birthday so we’re not as tired and has chosen Hollywood Studios for the day and to eat the Cape May Cafe for our evening meal.

We’ve chosen to eat here as we’re booked to stay at the Beach club for 2 weeks next October and want to surprise the girls and tell them that night as they have no idea we’ll be going back again next year! :cool1:

As we’re not away for Bronwyn and my birthday we’re both having an “unbirthday” and getting to plan and choose what we do and where we eat. For Bronwyn’s day we’re having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and then a day in Epcot for her favourites Soarin, Crusher and Spaceship earth. It amazes me that they remember where the rides are and which park etc – I constantly have the guide books open whenever I sit down for a drink. Last year we rode spaceship earth every time we entered Epcot and then again every time we left – it was virtually walk on each time so we thought it rude not to!

I’ve chosen Seaworld for my day as the girls have never been here so it will be a great new and exciting park for them. Dreading Atlantis but will shut my eyes and pray! As for the others Kraken (Steve’s all time favourite) and the Mantra – well lets just say I’ll hold the bags!!! We’ll be eating at Wolfgang puck so we can spend the evening strolling around DTD

Oh and not forgetting MNSSHP which I’ve booked for October 18th – can’t wait as we all loved this last time.

We’re also planning to hire the bikes at Boardwalk during our stay as we never got to visit here on the last trip so we’re planning a couple of trips this time. We want to add in a game of Crazy Golf but most of all I'm praying for Pixie Dust so I can get the girls names down to fight Darth Vader at HS. Maisie is Star Wars mad and this will be the icing on the cake!

The night before we fly we’re booked in the Raddison at Manchester Airport, even though we don’t fly until 1.30pm and we’re only 70 mins away!. We had such a great stay here last time we decided to add it on again and enjoy a lazy morning getting up and having breakfast before doing a bit of shopping and then hitting the V room. :thumbsup2

We are all so mega excited it’s hard to talk about anything else and I just want the next 2 weeks at work to whizz by.

It's been great getting tips from these boards - everyone is soooo friendly! Most of all I LOVE reading everyone's trip reports and usually do this as I eat my lunch at my desk at work - trouble is when I see the food pics it makes my lunch look boring! :rotfl:

Have a fantastic time.

We are not so far behind you (I'd better do a pre trip report!!!) - we fly from Mancheter on the 14th October.

Looks like your pre planning will pay off.
We always have a plan for each day, and then 'adjust' it where required.
Will you be taking a laptop - or have we got to wait until you get back?
Won't be long now....soon be SDD time

Sounds like an awesome trip!

Can't wait to read more! I love everyone's trip reports too, makes the wait till my next visit a bit more bearable.

:thumbsup2
