Have been to WDW 6 times but not in the last 10 years.
Jeff - 41, Wonderful husband who let his wife go crazy with
planning this Trip! Has never been to WDW and didn't really
Know what to expect. ( I think his wife scared him a little bit
with all the planning hee hee)
Moving day--- and EPCOT day
We woke up early again ( we did a Mickey wake up call every day but were already awake when he would call... Just as well since that pesky little Stich kept calling us and then Mickey would have to break in
)
We were sad to move over to the Yacht club today. We were enjoying the AKL and what a pain to have to move etc.
Oh well...
My husband went down to get some Danish and Coffee for us. Just let me tell you that this man did things like this every day. He was quite the prince charming and took care of our every needs. Never once did I have to go get coffee etc.... ( wait until later on in this trip when i tell you what this great guy did
)
We check out and head over to YC. Loving it already as we pull in.
But Yikes.... they are doing work all over part of the front of the building. We have a standard room so We were so hoping we would not get one of those rooms.
When we checked in... by the way another very short check in!!! The luck just keeps coming our way..... I asked the cast member if our room was covered with all of that . We were hoping for a nice one due to it being our anniversary. " oh, happy anniversary she says and then VIOLA.... let me give you this nice water view instead since it is your anniversay! YEAAAAAAAAAA
And to top it all off it was all ready for us to get our room and it was only 8:30 am. Up to the room we go..... Loving it all. This is my kind of place.The decorations were up for Christmas and what a wonderful tree!!! I really liked the AKL but this just fit me like a glove!
We get to our room... 4231.... Ok there is part of the building in front of the window... but let me tell you... GREAT ROOM. on the left you look out over stormalong bay, look to the right there is the lagoon and that great view of the boardwalk.
Beautiful... I love this room and will request it again. I like that the part of the building in front of our view sort of gives you privacy. It does not harm the view.
The room wasuite a bit bigger than AKL. My husbands favorite was the phone in the bathroom!!!
We sat out on the balcony and although you can hear the children in the pool, it was not bothersome at all!!!
My husband is very aware of noise and it always seems to bother him..... even when the pool was crowded this was not an issue at all. Very quite resort in general.
We then get a phone call...... It was our castmember that gave us this wonderful room...... she asked if we liked our room and what year anniversary it was for us. ( I predict a little treat coming our way with this question)
After we got settled we decided to take the boat to EPCOT. Our feet were hurting way too bad for walking over.
We walked down to the dock to get on the boat. I love this resort. It was so nice down there by the water. We both decide that this is so much more our style. We so enjoy the water and being right on it.
Once again..... every cast member asking us how we are... to have a great day...... with that big smile. You feel very welcomed here. We even had a nice chat with the greeter ( sorry I can't remember his name) We were taking pictures of the lobby and he came over and took pictures of us together.
Ok over to EPCOT we go.
Probably not the best choice since my feet had blisters and we were quite tired.
We did a few of the attractions over in future world and decided to head back since we were both feeling sore and tired.
(We never really seemed to catch up on sleep since we kept waking at 5am)
Back on the boat. ( we enjoyed the boat, very peaceful)
When we got back to our room we took a nap so we would feel better and could go to World showcase that night.
THIS WORKED... We are feeling much better after our nap and head on over to world showcase.
We decided to eat a few things here and there and not go to Marrakesh like we had planned. We tried a few things in China and in Mexico. Loved the churro.
We saw the chinese children acrobats. They were wonderful.
Enjoyed our little tour and then settled in to watch Illuminations. We had a great spot and not many people around us. We enjoyed the show and my husband could not decide if he liked wishes better than Illuminations. ( Wishes actually got my husband teary eyed!!!!
I liked them both about the same. They are very different from each other.
Ok.... back to the room we go..... we need a good night's sleep. Tomorrow we are going over to Universal and we can't just pop back over for a nap when we go there.
When we get back to our room we are greeted by a bunch of balloons and a card that says happy anniversary etc.... and then a picture of the fab five in front of the castle with their signatures. Very cute.
Ohhhhh.... The beds at YC...... PILLOW TOP mattresses!!!!
