The heck with waiting on Disney and AP codes..

I just booked two nights at HIFS before we check into a rental at OKW. Hopefully I won't regret staying off property, but Disney has me so darn mad with their last minute code announcements and cutbacks throughout the parks, that this is my own way to protest and spend my money elsewhere.

Question for those who have stayed there....How are the restaurants at HIFS? Is the free breakfast buffet edible? (I've been to other hotels where the free buffet was HORRIBLE!!)

We're staying at HIFS for the first time in Sept., I will post when I get back and let you know how it was. I was a little worried about it at first, but have had several people reassure me that it's a great place to stay with a family. Will let you know when I get back!!!

The breakfast is not gourmet, but it is certainly edible. I would put it at about the same quality food as Golden Corral. They have a lot of bagles, toast, waffles and cereals that no one could screw up. They also have scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage. Waffles or pancakes. Fresh fruit, grits, yogurt, juices, milk, soft drinks, oatmeal, I think. My husband is an executive chef and he wants to stay there again because of the breakfast. It is so convenient to just walk in and grab a plate and a table and leave. You can also fill up styrofoam containers and take it back to your room. I might even put it at the same level as a Disney Character breakfast, minus the "magic".
