Anyone is welcome to post on this thread, as long as it's nothing mean or bad.

I'll start by talking about my lovely day yesterday. I went to my grandmother's house all day, and while the activities itself weren't necessarily what I would consider "fun," I did get to spend some quality time with my grandmother.

We started putting together a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle, nothing I would do on my own, but it was a Disney one, that she had said we would do together. We didn't get it finished, but she said she wouldn't do any more of it until I came over again, so we could finish it together.

I then walked to work from my grandmother's house, (she lives in the center of town, so is within walking distance to the store I work at.) Not only did I save some gas, and in doing so, also some money, but I also got some exercise.

I cant do happy.

I was never the cheerleader type. ;)

It's not a rule, I just thought it would be nice to have a positive upbeat thread with all the drama that has been going on. If you want to make sarcastic comments, please, take them elsewhere.

Sounds like you had a nice day with your grandmother. Do you see her often?

Not as much as I should. Which is a shame, because she does live pretty close by. I should also really try and go when I'm not going to work from her house, so I can take the dog with me.

I'm happy because it stopped raining!

I'm hoping for a sunny Memorial Day weekend. Anyone doing anything special this 3-day weekend?

Its a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, i don't have much planned.

Going to see my mum tomorrow though and going shopping on Saturday :)

The weather here is lovely aswell, which is a suprise.

We haven't had rain here. It was supposed to shower, but never did. There's an annual picnic on Monday I usually go to, but I'm not sure if I'm going or not. They did have a sign up sheet at work for Monday, and I did volunteer, but I requested a late shift so my day would be free. I hope I do get scheduled though, I love holiday pay. :goodvibes

I thought of another happy thing I can add. I may be moving. The move would only be to my grandmother's house, and my dad does own the building she lives in, but it would still be away from my parents.

It was discussed a few years ago, that maybe me or my sister should live with her, but my dad didn't think it was a good idea. But now, my grandmother is having an even harder time getting around, can't walk downstairs, (she lives on a second floor apartment,) needs a walker, can't really cook for herself, etc.

Of course, me moving in with her is just a maybe, and my sister and I might be fighting over who gets to live with her, but I think I have a better argument. My sister wants to live there, (she can't afford her own apartment either,) becuase it's in town, and she walks around town every day. (Yeah, that was the cool thing to do in high school, not so cool anymore.) I, on the other hand, could help my grandmother more then my sister can, I am the better cook between the two of us, and I could take her dog with me. My grandmother misses her dog terribly, and my sister has already said she doesn't want to take the dog with her if she goes, because she doesn't like the dog, (for that matter, neither do my parents.) I would love to get him and my grandmother back in the same house, especially since our cat died, and the dog is distraught over that.

Of course this is still all up in the air, and even if my dad does decide it would be best for my sister or I to live with her, he'd still have to decide who it would be. And usually my sister is the one who gets her way. But I do have the dog to use to my advantage, since I would take him with me, and my parents want to be rid of him.

DOH!!!! I TOTALLY forgot it was a holiday weekend! DH will be working it so I think that's why I forgot.......

no plans here. Maybe hotdogs on the grill when he crawls home later in the day. There used to be small parades in town but not anymore.....
it's also still too chilly to bring MIL to the cemetary to place flowers on graves, so we won't be doing that either.

Boring weekend, eh? LOL
(but WAIT.......the new Indiana Jones movie is out so......WOO HOO maybe we'll have a movie date!)
