Is this a good movie? We are going to a neighbors house tonight to watch it and I was wondering if it was worth seeing. Is it really raunchy? I am debating if we should take my 15 y/o nephew who is staying with us, but don't want him to be uncomfortable.

Thanks!

My 16 year old son and my DH just rented this movie On Demand last night. It's funny, but a bit dirty. Lots of sexual references, foul language, and a pretty stupid story. You 15 y/o nephew would love it, but it's not the kind of movie a teenage boy should watch with adults.... you just don't want to know that they "get" the jokes.
After passing through the room a few times, I warned my 16 y/o that he is not allowed to let my 11 y/o son know that he rented this movie, it is so not appropriate for an 11 y/o.

depends on which version you are watching the "uncut" or the "cut" I saw the "cut" version and it was pretty funny.........but friends who have seen the "uncut" version said it was REALLY funny and had many more nude parts.

To answer your question on your 15 year old nephew, only you would be able to answer that. Is he mature enough to watch an R rated movie with sexual overtures with adults in the room, or would he feel more comfortable doing with a group of kids his own age..........and would the other adults you will be with feel comfortable with your 15 year old nephew in the room watching an adult movie with them?

From what I remember they show a "butt" on a guy and a woman breast feeding in the "cut" version.

I would say that it is a good movie that has it's funny parts. I think it is worth seeing at least once. I have seen it a couple of times and found that it is not nearly as entertaining the 2nd and 3rd times. As for your nephew, he might be a little uncomfortable at times. I know at 26 I was a little uncomfortable watching certain parts with my parents..but that is me.

Oddly enough, I watched it last night too.

It was ok. Funny. It was not as raunchy as I expected but there is no way I would want to watch it with a 15 year old!

While I think there are very few scenes that are horribly inappropriate for a 15 year old. Watching them with a parent/care giver would be. Does that make sense?

The ending montage is definitely a little much. There is nudity at the end.

ETA - I saw the cut version.

Horrible mom checking in. I let my 14 Y.O. DD watch it w/ DH and I. She found it hysterical.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking it was kind of a raunchy movie, maybe we will skip it this time. Although I'm sure he would find it hysterical, I would be the uncomfortable one!

I saw the uncut version so I have no comparison between the two.

I will say if your nephew was watching it with a bunch of boys his age group he would like it.

Sitting w/ adult relatives of both sexes watching it would be torture.

I know my 15 year old niece has seen it but I would be uncomfortable sitting next to her and watching it.

Agreed.
I'm 18 and while I think the movie is hilarious, it would be more than uncomfortable to watch with my parents.

One of my nephews was in town and wanted to see it at the movie theater. The movie itself wasn't too bad, but at the end they show photos of what the movie itself didn't tell you. It was kind of uncomfortable sitting through the photo part with my nephew.

It's funny but I wouldn't want to see it with any teenager. I don't want to know that they get all the jokes either! :scared1:

2 things..RATED "R" Please do not let your young ones watch this movie..there are very inappropriate scenes (body parts shown :scared1:)....I saw it in the theater and there was a couple behind us with 2 kids around the 8-10 age range... I was so embarrassed for them...Otherwise I love the movie... I laughed so hard...

Another bad mom checking in. While my kids are 18 and 19, I wouldn't have hesitated in allowing them to watch it at even 13. Heck yeah it's funny! My 18 year old got it for Christmas (was on her list). We buy few DVDs anymore, so when we buy one today, it's something at least one of us really loves.

Maybe we saw a different version of this movie at the theater. :confused3 This movie truly is hilarious. But, that last photo in the elevator (with the simulation) I would not want my kid to see at 13. Heck I wouldn't have wanted to see it at 13.
