well like my school does it because to many people would take the long weekend off instead of going to parent teacher confrences. But now everyone just takes the 4 day weekend instead of the 3... lol

We have 7 periods total, but 6 per day.

P.E. and Health are quarterly (unless you happen to get 1 full semester of P.E., and Health, say, 4th quarter, such as I do).

Half-year classes are, well, half-year (electives).

Main classes are full year (including foreign language, band, and chorus).

Most people do that around here. I'd do it too, but my mom doesnt let me miss school just to miss it..lol
