Thanks Marleeka!!! It's good to know. I work for State government and to make a long story short, the state has been underpaying our position, so I should be getting a retro check for 2 years worth of the difference in payranges. Anyways, this check is expected in August and I was to book and pay for the trip before I spend the money elsewhere! I can't wait!!!

Another question, though.......I've ready some reviews that state some rooms only have showers. Is this true? How would I know which ones have tubs? My 11 year old only takes baths. Help.

A couple of wintery questions.

I'm planning a four or five day trip in Disney, but our dates fall on both sides of a price line. Our trip starts on a Value date (Dec 16 or 17) but ends on a Holiday date (Dec 20 or 21). Will our whole trip be priced at the value price or will they charge Value price for the 16th and 17th and Holiday price for the rest of the trip?

Second, we love the 50s building overlooking Hourglass lake and we'd like a top floor room to have a better view of the lake but we really enjoy opening our door and seeing ducks and rabbits. On our dates, are the animals usually out or is it too cold?

Thanks :)

I don't see my last post....maybe I didn't do it right.......

I wanted to let everyone know I've just decided I'm heading back to Disney in Sept 2010!!!! I do have a question.....let's say I book the Pop with Disney Dining and tickets in Sept at the regualr value season price. Then they make the free Disney Dining offer again. Will Disney honor that and refund part of the price I've paid? Yes, I'll be booking right through Disney themselves.

Yes they will. Just call them on the day free dining becomes available and they will switch the ressie for you. I did it like for 3 years.

You will be billed value rates Dec 16 & 17 then holiday rates for the other. It used to not be that way but they changed it in the past year or 2.:sad2:

We were on the top floor of the 50's Tramp building on our last trip December 15-22 and it was great! We had a view of the lake and a view of the fireworkds from our window! It was not cold at all, mid 70's during the day and low 50's during the evening. We saw plenty of ducks on the lake. Have a great trip! I love Disney in December, but we have to go in August this year because of school.

Unfortunately, the days of keeping the room rate of the first ngt are gone - the total should reflect the date change.

We've been at POP in early December and still see ducks, bunnies (even a rat:scared1:) - we usually have our request met and stay 4th floor, Tramp bldg 3, lake side. Lovely!

Happy planning! :goodvibes
ETA:SPOERLX3, looks like we were posting at the same time!

Can anyone cofirm that the Twinkie Tiramusu is back !! It is listed on the dis restaurant menu as TWINKLE!!!

I'm back with another question :) I have requested a pack n play for my 17 month old, but just learned that I could rent a crib from an outside vendor. Does anyone have experience with putting a full size crib in a Pop room? We have requested a connecting room, so it seems like that might limit the space on the wall, but I really think my 18 month old would sleep a lot better in a crib. Thanks for any advice!

That sounds interesting....a full crib could be nice. By the sounds of it the crib would take up all the space though. It will be interesting to see what people say.

I can;t see putting a full sized crib in the room. I don't think it would fit, or you would really have to move stuff. It would be very tight too.

Hi, last November we requested the Graco pack 'n play and it was a very tight fit in a standard Pop room. In an All-Star Sports room last September, we were able to put the pack 'n play in front of the connecting door. But in the Pop room, the TV furniture was bigger and so the pack 'n play did not fit in front of the connecting door. We had to wedge the pack 'n play in between the two beds in the Pop room.

I really don't think a full-size crib will fit in a standard Pop room. The only thing I can think of is if you moved the table and chairs out of the room or wedged them out of the way somehow.

Or, check with the vendor on the real size of the rental crib - in most hotels that have cribs vs. pack 'n plays, it seems they have smaller hotel-sized cribs, not cribs the same size as you would have at home.

Hi everyone!

Just signing up for this thread! We are planning on booking our first Pop stay in December 2010 and can't wait already!!

Now . . . I need to go find a fridge swap which is taking bookings for that far ahead!!:rotfl2:

Thanks! Sounds like it will be iffy! I went ahead and ordered the crib anyway to try it. It came to just over $70, and it seemed like a good deal if I can get it to fit so the baby will sleep better. Because we will have two rooms, I thought that maybe I could move the table and or chairs to the other room or somewhere else (maybe next to the sink?) to try and get it to fit. If not, oh well! I'll call the company and have them come and pick it back up :-) I'll be sure to let everyone know how it works out.

We rented a crib from an outside vendor. It was great! It was a little tight but we just moved things around and made the best of it! It came with all the bedding for the crib that came in dry cleaner bags showing it had just been cleaned. It was really easy to set up, no tools needed!

Since you'll have connecting rooms, you can move the table and chairs into the other room to make more space. We had to do this last year when we traveled with my best friend who uses a wheelchair. She is paralyzed and we needed to rent special equipment to get her in and out of bed. It was a huge device, so we moved her table and chairs into our room and had plenty of space for both it and her wheelchair. :thumbsup2

Hey everyone! This is such a great thread! I am so excited we are going to be staying at POP! We are taking our very first trip to WDW in Jan of 2011...(Feels like forever!) I am in the early early planning stages...(Just an excuse really to look up WDW stuff!!)

I am a little overwhelmed by Disney Transportation right now. I am wondering if anyone has or knows if there is a list out there somewhere that tells you exactly how to get from one place to another (By bus or boat or what have you) and how long it takes.

Ex:

POP to Epcot:

Epcot Bus (12 Min)
or
Bus to DHS, then Boat to Epcot (62 Min.)

I want to put this in my planner that I am taking with me so I can use it as a refrence once we are there. I found a great site that tells you how to get from point A to point B but you have to enter it one at a time. If I can't find one made already, I am planning on making on just for POP and the Parks. Let me know if anyone wants a copy.

I am just so afraid I am going to get lost while there!!
