I watched it this week and I really liked it! I think its a cool concept and was glad with who got eliminated they just annoyed me for some reason.. but their desserts looked SOOOOOOoooooooooooooo good!

I was glad they went home, too, though I did feel bad for them when they were crying afte being eliminated. I wanted to try everything except the French food and the crepes. Cajun guy is annoying.

I loveee crepes kinda addicted but they are 8.50 at the Westfield mall here so its a no go for them most times so I make myself they end up being more thick like a usual pancake.

That grilled cheese burger had me going omg! lol I think Id try everything but the Nom Nom truck. I looked up the Joes on the Nose they were beside heonly sells drinks that was lucky

I'm so glad they went home, too! How obnoxious they were (or at least were edited). And how stupid to set off on a race without checking your equipment!

That cheeseburger between two grilled cheese sandwiches? I could feel my arteries harden even as I watched it!

Yeah, don't like Cajun Guy either.

What Network is this on? I see some food trucks here in NYC with the sign on them but I've never checked out to see what station it airs on.
Thanks.

Food Network. These are food trucks from different places in the country that are competing.

I'm going for the truck from Austin, of course. But, really, how far can they go with pressed sandwiches? They may be eliminated next.

I'd love to see one of our local "taco trucks" on the next season. I love when they drive up and and honk "La Cucaracha".:rotfl2:

We went to the Downtown Anaheim Farmer's Market tonight (every Thursday) and we understand one of the trucks there was in the show (which we haven't seen). Was it Crepes Bonaparte?

the nom nom truck came to new orleans in i think april or may, but we had TORRENTIAL rains the weekend they were here.

had i know it was for food network, i'd have pulled out the boat and gone. LOL it was some seriously bad rain and flooding.

i really enjoyed the show and was glad they went home...also the cajun guy is super annoying! idk why they always pick the annoying people from louisiana to be on things. :confused3

Just watched a replay of episode #1, and I see it was Crepes Bonaparte. DW and I tried their "savory" crepes on Thursday. Pretty good. Definitely want to try a dessert crepe next time.

I want the French truck to go next. They're always complaining about something.

Here's a recipe my family has used for many years. My stepdad and his family are from France.

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 T. veggie oil
1 1/2 cups milk

Mix together. Warm frying pan on stove over med-low heat, and spray lightly with Pam. Use a small ladle (you do not need a lot) to measure out the mixture. I like to lift the pan up off the burner, and swirl it around to thin out the mixture. They should be paper thin. Cook until it begins to bubble, then flip. You know it's done when the edges begin to curl up. If you want to keep the filling simple, you can use apple butter or prune butter. My kids prefer these for the filling, instead of the rich cream cheese filling, berries and whipped cream.

Yes they were in the show!

Think nom nom will win it all?

That's who I'd bet on right now. That one lady on there is a guru when it comes to marketing. She usually on the phone immediately and has something lined up when they get to the next town.

I don't think I've ever seen a reality "race" in which the frontrunner at the beginning ended up winning. So I wouldn't put all my money on Nom Nom. I'd try them (I like Vietnamese food), except their name reminds me too much of www.icanhascheezburger.com and the LOLcats!
