Okay so DD and her friends made mr cry.
They are doing a walk and fund riser for the Susan G Komen fund in my honor. They are metting with the college tonght to see about them backing them. DD called and Emailed my DRs and they are going to the meeting.

Shaymaraysmom - just wondering....are they doing the Breast Cancer 3-Day by any chance??? If so, do you know where?? I did the 3-Day last year and will walk my 2nd in Oct. What a wonderful thing your daughter and friends are doing!!!

I am not sure if it is the three day or the one they are doing in Boston that is 5 miles. I know she is doing a three day in July. Hopefully I will be able to walk it with her.

Sounds like my twins! DS is really into his karate and ESPN with DH; DD is all about her piano and is begging for drama classes! Like we need more of that around here

Mine are actually not twins. They are 12 months/12 days apart. May as well be twins but I had to go through 16 months of pregnancy (they were both preemies) and 2 labors

I noticed you are in 'Red Sox Nation' ....the Boston 3-Day is in August, so you have a lot of time. If I walk again next year I'll be walking in Boston (I'm in CT - so Hi neighbor!).

IAHD... sorry 'bout that... where in the world did I get they were twins?? I thought I read it in a post somewhere, but I guess I'm just confused (as usual!!) 16 months of pregnancy & 2 labors... I'll take my '2 for 1' bargain

The "twins" thing was actually my fault....I had posted how alot of people think their twins because they are about the same height and look so much alike

I think most people's screen names are pretty basic - childs name, initials, last name, etc. Mine isn't anything too creative ~ it's what DH & I have engraved in our wedding bands. I didn't know what to choose as this was my 1st forum I joined/posted on but I didn't want to use any distinguishing names so people would "know" who I was.

My screen name is our DD nickname. We named her Shaunna but from day one DH has been calling her Shaymaray. The nurses in the hospital asked before we signed the birth cer. if we wanted to change it to Shaymaray.
Very few people call her by her name

That's so sweet, what a nice phrase to engrave in wedding bands! My solid wedding band is engraved "DORK" and DH's band is engraved "GEEK"... my other wedding ring is engraved something more appropriate: "Forever"...not very original but we thought the Dork & Geek were funny

So they are digging up my street. Why you may ask. Well silly me asked the same thing. You will love this. They will be putting in new gas lines. But not till next year. So they are digging holes and making the old pipes. then filling in the holes and repaving.
Now the best part. They did this last year. They should have been replacing them this year. But no they need to remark them.
So my question to them was what happened to the markings you put on them last year? You will never guess the answer

Ahhh...bureacracy at work. Gotta love it. Sorry, I've been MIA this morning but I have been finishing up geting my house in order for our trip. I have to work tonight AND tomorrow night AND all day Saturday so I won't be worth a dime the next few days. Therefore, the housework and most of the packing are done. I just have to hope DH and the kids don't destroy everything the next couple of days. We are going to try to leave about 5 or 6:00 am Sunday morning so we can get to Charleston early enough to walk around some and have dinner. We are actually staying in a bonafide hotel Sunday night and then heading on to the campground Monday morning. Keep your fingers crossed that the weather is nice.
