The Good and the Bad our first trip

We just got back from 8 days at WDW.

Although we did not do the Dinning plan we did eat!.

THE AWESOME
Mama Melrose's in HS....AMAZING! We did the fantasmic package and it was fantastic. The food was amazing our server Lindsey was just a doll. I had the vodka pasta...yummy...Best meal of the trip

THE VERY GOOD
50's Prime Time Cafe in HS was also very good. The service was a bit slow they were swamped but our server did a great job. I had the fried chicken...OMG it was good.

CSR Pepper Market We ate here several times. It was easy and fantastic. The wet burrito is way to much for one person to eat. My sons loved the alfredo and sandwich area. My husband and I shared a ribeye. It was yummy!

Liberty Town Tavern in MK
We had lunch here. I had the turkey and dressing and it was very tasty. It was nice to come in and sit down in the very cool air after a hot morning in the park. My husband had the pot roast and loved it. My oldest had a burger and it was HUGE! Our server was again fantastic.

THE UGLY but management was kind
Garden Grill in Epcot We are big Chip and Dale fans so we picked this meal just for that. The food was...okay. The flank steak was over done. The catfish was okay. The potato casserole was FANTASTIC. Our major problem here was our server. HE WAS HORRID. We never got a drink refil. We were at the table for 15 mins before he came to our table and it took 15 more to get drinks...10 more for food and then we asked for some seconds (family style meal) and it took 30 to get that!!!!!!! We got there at 6:30 to eat. At 7:45 no refils and no where near desert later...I asked for help. A lady went and got us some drinks...still no waiter....I finally asked to see a manager. I told her it was our anniversary dinner...we picked it to be with Chip and Dale and this guy was horrid. I told them we had to go....and now we didn't have time for any dessert. The manager was very apologetic and said she understood. Made me think she had, had issues with him before. She comped the entire meal. The waiter was very gruff...so not like Disney!

It was a great trip. Thanks to everyone who helped us plan our first WDW trip.

Overall, sounds like a great trip! Sorry about your Garden Grill experience -- especially since it was a special occasion! Happy belated Anniversary!

I'm glad that most of your experiences were good ones! I, too, would have been unhappy with that kind of service at Garden Grill, though. You did the right thing telling a manager. Maybe that waiter needs to consider a different job choice.

To see nice review of one of my favorite's Mama Melrose's. We just love this place always great food and service has never been anything but great.It is a must do for us on our visits to DHS.Many times it gets such bad reviews I think can we be talking about same Mama Melroses. Danny

LOL! Call me weird but I'm SO looking forward to planning the dining for our upcoming trip. Thanks for the great reviews! My DH thinks I'm nutts because I focus so much on food & dining!! Geez - maybe that's why I have a weight problem, lol!

Thanks for the great reviews of your meals. So glad you liked Mama Melrose and Pepper Market. We do Mama Melrose every year and, since we stay at CSR every year, we obviously eat at PM quite a bit and we really like it. Happy Anniversary again!
