One of my private students and I got into a discussion about weather forecasts on the internet. He is a huge weather buff and wants to go to the University of Oklahoma and become a tornado chaser. His dream is to be INSIDE a tornado!

We got to talking about long-range forecasts and which sites did the best job. He has offered to make a personalized one for us so we know what to pack! He will send it to me this weekend and will tweak it again Thursday morning before he goes to school.

This really hit me funny, I was eating when I read this.......just about covered by laptop with my dinner.

COOL!!! Um...except for the storm chasing part...I would prefer to study the weather from afar under "controlled" conditions. Hope he has a good forecast for you!

Brian has predicted mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80s and night time lows in the 60s. He has not told us anything about humidity. I think he doesn't understand he is dealing with older women. But I will gladly take his forecast!

Wow - 4 days! I hope you don't mind me living vicariously through you these next few days. I'm so excited for you!

I am packed. mostly

I have everything but last minute items like my hairbrush and a favorite pair of leather sandals. I even put a note on top of my suitcase to remind me to put them in before I zip it closed.

Tomorrow I teach and go to a favorite winery to pick up my quarterly wine club package. We will eat dinner there and then home for some quiet time. Thursday morning I have a pedicure scheduled and then I need to check us all in and pay our baggage fees. I teach from 3-9 that night and need to come home and try to get some sleep.

The plan is to leave here about 10:15 on Friday morning for our 1:30 flight. Nackie is a bionic woman (titanium knees!) and it often takes her a little longer to get through security. We will grab something to eat before boarding our plane and then we will be off! I can hardly wait!
