Instead of the usual "in your face" from winners and whining from losers, I'd be interested in some talk about what needs to be done now.

What are we going to do about this war?

What are our goals, hopefully ones we can all agree on.

Could we agree on a direction for this country -- or at least a few mutual goals?

Peace & equality.

I am worried about both, but right now the peace part.

How do we get out of Iraq after the mess we've made? Sure, we can leave, but that won't mean peace for anybody. What do we do now?

We need to find a better balance between superpower mentality and world-community-membership. That is, become more diplomatically savvy.

Energy independence, particularly the development of alternate fuel sources.

A proactive stand towards global warming.

Good start -- OK, who's going to be stepping up toward these ends and how? Are we supposed to believe that Al Gore could be a part of all this?

with any hope gore will be part of the initiative......
considering he knows a lot about it....

or we could just hope big business cleans up
there act..... :lmao:

i for 1 hope we can leave iraq without getting shot
in the *** on the way out.....

we need to gain support from the rest of the world....
make some allies again is a good start..

Improve our international relations. It can be helpful in dealing with a war the rest of the World doesn’t agree with. Work with a REAL international task force, more of them in, more of our troops home.

We can’t afford to “just leave” Irak, as we don’t want to repeat the mistake we made in Afghanistan and that lead to the Taliban taking control.

.

You know, I was the one of the only ones screaming that we should never go in there, but what do we owe that country, now that we've make a mess of it? Nothing?

How do we get out and not leave them with disaster?
