I don't think they will recast her. Especially since they have just been laying the groundwork of how Monica has not been doing well, and Tracy will be the matriarch. It's so weird how the storyline where Tracy tells Stella she misses Monica aired the day after she passed away.

I think they need to let Monica go. Her passing will leave a hole in the family which could repair some conflicts and worsen others. I hope the writers can figure out how to handle her death.

As far as Tracy being the new matriarch, is she staying long term? I know she has come and gone in the past. And I thought at one point she had said she was retiring from acting. Before this time on GH and possibly before the last time as well

I agree. I think they've been setting up the storyline for her passing and they will just continue with it as they planned.

There's a lot of talk about Monica going on the last 2 days. Yesterday it was Tracy and Aunt Stella, today it was Sasha saying Monica told her to bring special cookies to Wiley and Amelia.

Sounds like the noose is starting to tighten around Cyrus. More and more people are suspecting him of being the person trying to kill patients.

Now you have Jason picking Monica over Sonny, I think they were definitely setting up Monica to pass away. It's ironic that it's coinciding with when she really died.

I don’t get why Traci and Jason think they have a right to withhold Willow’s kids. They were legally removed from Nina’s place, but now all Willow has to do is file a motion to get them on the grounds that their father is incapacitated. Even though she’s making dumb choices, the kids should be with her right now. It seems like Jason is choosing Monica over Michael. Sonny and Carly can and will provide him with the best possible care. The best thing would be to give Willow the kids for now and let Michael’s parents take care of him.

Did anyone else find it a little shallow that Carly's concern for Michael's future was how he'd LOOK? "Because people can be cruel." Your son's in pain (or would be if not for medicine), will he walk? Talk? And she's concerned first about how he'll look? She seems overly excited that there's a place that could get rid of scars. I know it's just to allow for the actor to leave, but it just seemed that she played it overly much.

YES! It was SOOO odd and out of place. I mean maybe weeks/months down the line but it was like the day after it happened. They're not even sure if he'll live who cares about possible scars.

It reminded me of when my daughter split her head open. She was 7ish and we went to urgent care to get stitches and the doctor brought up plastic surgery for the scaring. I was just like what? I'm sitting here with my 7 year old daughter who's getting stitches why are you talking to me about plastic surgery. Anyways 10 years later and you can barely see the scare (definitely no need for plastic surgery and CERTAINLY not in that moment.)

What Carly doesn't realize it that Michael's recovery will be a long process. The key word is "Michael's" recovery. He is the one who will ultimately decide what he wants to do with his own body. Perhaps he wants to undergo a bunch of surgeries and skin grafts to look as "normal" as possible. Perhaps he just wants to regain his movement and functionality and will eventually be at peace with the scars. Perhaps he wants to just concentrate on his immediate recovery and put off decisions about reconstructive procedures for later...maybe even years later. It's not up to Carly to decide what he's going to do. This is his recovery and Carly should support however he wants to do it.

I think the decision to try and ship him off to Europe is just based on the fact that Chad Duel is departing the role of Michael so they need to find a way to get him off the canvas. Whether or not Chad comes back to the role of Michael or not, they are setting it up that he can return or a recast can return with a new face.
