Hi, I made resv. for The garden Grill as part of the Candlelight Processional package, are we going to be happy with our selection?

Garden Grill is one of my favorite places to eat so I predict (and hope) you will be very happy with your choice. The food is delicious and plentiful. We eat there each time we visit and have never been disappointed.

Dh and I went there with the kids in July for the ice cream social. However DH was hungry at the time so he ordered the all-you-can-eat skillet. Of course he gave me a sampling of his meal. We agreed that the food was good, but the atmosphere was kinda weird. The booths are very isolated as it is a circular restaurant that rotates and overlooks different scenes...which in itself I guess is interesting. I don't know if all the tables are set up like this, so you might get a better view than we did.

I think so. We did the CP package at Garden Grill last year and will do it this year. The food is unpretentious but first-rate American food -- even the salad and bread are excellent.

And the CP package is a bargain, costing only $1.70 more per adult than you would have paid just for the dinner with 15% tip. Children actually cost less with the package than without! Last year we ended up not actually going to CP as DS's got tired; no big deal as the difference in cost was negligible.

We had a rather negitive experience there last Nov. We had the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package and PS for Garden Grill. The food was OK and not hot. We asked for more food, as this is all you can eat, and "Barry" our server took 20 minutes to return with warmer food. Barry was very lax in drink refills so we had to hunt him down. We found him hanging out with fellow employees and socializing. I really feel that since we were doing the dinner package that includes the gratuity, that he didn't have to work for the tip. He already knew what he was getting and didn't have to do anything above the very basics. All in all, we were very disappointed with the Garden Grill meal. If we didn't have to leave right away to make our way to line up for the Processional, we would have had to discuss this with the management. This was our first day in the parks and our first sit down meal, and our only bad experience. I don't know if we will ever do the Garden Grill again. We are doing the Package again this December, but will be doing a buffet this time. This way we will control what we eat and when.
By the way, I hope that your dinner ends out better than ours last year!!

We love the GG for character lunch. It's a must-do for us. I hope you have the same kind of experience.

Thanks for all the info, we have a 2 year old and a 9 year old, that's why we didn't choose a different restaurant. I would love to try Chefs De France, but since the 2 year old is free I don't know if we would be able to order a kids meal for her or if she would have to share.

I love the food at the Garden Grill, but the cost went up five dollars last year, which makes it a bit expensive.

We are thinking of the earlier show. Would dinner be after the show? For the 6:45 show would you have time for dinner before?

We are going to the CP on Christmas Day at 6:45 and our ps for the Garden Grill is at 4:20.

I guess you would have time befor the 6:45, if you ate by 4:30, but it might be better to eat afterwards.
