Hello all. Long time no see!

I was just reading "Woman's World" magazine, and they have an article on the book "The G.I. Diet" and how well it is working for many Canadians. It sounds a lot like "Sugarbusters".

Is anyone following a low glycemic plan or know about this book?

TIA.

Hi Barb,

I see you here and on the Camping at WDW board.

Many of us here are on the South Beach Diet, and, while individual results vary, for just about everyone it has been successful. South Beach is designed to get you to retrain the way your body processes fats and carbs, and is targeted at getting rid of high-glycemic foods like processed flour, sugar, and other starches, along with reducing the amount of saturated fats and trans-fats in the diet. The net result is better blood chemistry, and weight loss. Check out the "South Beach Dieters Unite" thread.

BTW - did you trade the Yukon for the truck?

Thanks Jerry. I did WW two years ago and lost 19.5 lbs. Over the last two years, about 8 or 9 lbs. have snuck back on!! I read Sugarbusters years ago, and it sounds very similar to SB and this book I'm talking about. I'll definitely check it out.

DH had to run to Orlando last minute on business. (The lucky bum.) So, the truck thing is on hold until he gets back. I think we will try to get the price down a little more and go for it. Comparing this truck to the new 2500's, it sounds like we'd be crazy not to buy.
