Hi everyone I love my crocs I have about 15 pairs between myself and my family and pretty much every kind of croc too. I had heard about them last year on this board . So We all bought a pair for our Trip to Disney. From reading on here I thought a lot of PPL wore them but to our suprise I only saw maybe 2 or 3 ppl wearing them and everyone kept coming up and asking what we were wearing on our feet and wear we got them. My hubby was choked cause he hates them the way they look but he agreed they were awesome in the parks as no one complained about there feet or got blisters . I just thought it was so funny how they were raved about on these boards but when we got there we seemed to be like the only ones wearing them.
PS :hubby only agreed to wear cause I told him everyone would be wearing them lol . But he thanked me anways . :)

I don't have any (yet), but I've been "foot" watching at the county fair this week to see if people were wearing them around here. I saw 2 pair over a 3-day period. I don't think that crocs have caught on here, but I love being a fashion trend-setter.

Wow, I find that really surprising. Judging by the boards you would think they would be everywhere.

That just goes to show ya, we're an elite bunch of folks here on the Disboards!

My sister is afraid that when we are going we are going to be the Croc family when we go...I have them, she has, them my DH has them, DD, her DD, her DS, and our mom!

I am going to purchase a pair and try them out when I go in FEB. I hear lots of great things about them, but is it really true that they are the best shoes in preventing blisters?

I think that Crocs are somewhat regional. I live in West Michigan and I have seen people wearing them but really not that many.

We recently vacationed in St Louis and they were EVERYWHERE! It seemed like everyone was wearing them...men, women and kids.

And "no" I don't own a pair. I'm a Birkenstock fan :confused3

I am a Grosse Pointer and all the kids have them at the pool including the little toddlers. i work as a nurse and most of us have several pairs

A friend of mine just got back last week, and she said she saw Crocs everywhere! I guess it just depends on the day..

I had never heard of them before joining the DIS either. Though I'm not fond of the way they look, I have noticed more and more of them this summer, so I think they're catching on. I might have to get a pair before our September trip...

I foot watch for them too. We live in a resort beach area. They can be seen everywhere near the beach... stores, boardwalk, restaurants. I love mine!

While I would wear them if I could (and so would my daughter) we both have feet that are narrow and Crocs just do not fit us right. One size is too short and the next size far too wide - we wallow in them. We try on every knock off we can find thinking these might be The Ones. Be aware not everyone can wear them.

Same is true here. I also live in a beach area. One store even advertises on its sign out front, "Tons of Croc..Lot's of Colors". The closer you are to the beach here the more they are seen.

I am the same way I have a very small foot and narrow but there is a brand called Holy soles and they are narrower fitting . I love my crocs but they fit very wide on my foot but I don't mind that cause then nothing rubs. My hubby bought my a apir of the holy soles and I really like them as well cause they fit my foot better . Here the site you can order them .
www.holeysoles.com. I work both as a Nurse and a travel Agent so for nursing I wear the closed in Aspen crocs .

I bought my first crocs thanks to the DISboards recently...ever since, I've really noticed them a lot more around New York City. I think I see a pair almost everyday! They even sell fake crocs at the street fairs here - they have diamonds instead of circles on the top!! That must mean they're catching on... :goodvibes

Birkenstock fan here too!!! I see crocs all over the place though!!! All the "Jersey Girls" in training are wearing them...I see them all over the schools! (i'm a social worker)

I also saw a TON of them in Manhattan, but everyone I saw wearing them was either sporting a back pack or dragging luggage...they seem to be "vacationer" shoes!

The "crocs" with the diamonds on top are called NothinZ, and I actually find them more comfy than crocs. Much better arch support and more cushioned soles! :)

I haven't seen them here in Baltimore. I have a navy pair, and everyone thinks I'm a bit crazy!

Here in New York they are catching on.
I was the first person in my High School to wear them (or one of the first) and then I was at the mall the other day and a whole family with four 'tween' daughters or friends ALL sporting crocs!
I've started a fad! :rotfl:

I guess I was most surprised to not see any in Northern CA, and no one had heard of them either.

They are all over the place here in Southeast Louisiana. I have one pair ~ Mary Jane style ~ that are a bit more narrower than the more common Beach style. I got them from www.journeys.com and love them. I have a second pair on order directly from Crocs ~ the Athens style. :thumbsup2
