Friday no breakfast plans, originally we had planned on going to AK, but since I bought E-Ride Night tickets last night for all of us and we will be going to the Cirques De Soleil Show and having dinner at The House of Blues this evening, our park plans have seemed to have changed. So much for a schedule.Since we have a full evening ahead of us I decide I am going to spend the day with Grandma Mouse and the rest are on their own to do as they please. So off the others go to MK, my brother though has caught some type of stomach virus and once there decides to head to the First Aid station where he is given Imodium AD. Instructed to take 2, he takes 4.
My sister tells him to go back to the resort and rest before going out again tonight. But he waits it out with them and they return about 3 hours later aftter spending some time in Frontierland and Adventureland. It was crowded but they were able to ride on The Priates of the Caribean, see Bear Country Jambori and the Tiki Room. Since I wasn't along I'm not sure of what else they did, but I know Sonny was tired when they got back.
Evening approaches and we head out for Downtown Disney by boat. A beautiful ride to the west side. My brother by now seems to be feeling much better!
We are seated in row 2 section B, right in front of the stage. Yes, all sit mesmerized by the entertainment for 90 minutes. I might add that since Grandma Mouse has trouble walking up and down steps we were able to take the elevator to our section, worked out nicely. Afterwards we head for dinner at the House of Blues, there is a huge lineup to eat here, but I stand in line for about 20 minutes and then am told I could have walked right in and had us all seated. So anyway we all get seated and we order, in about 5 minutes Sonny gets his food, How come so quick?
Well the server got us mixed up with the next table and my brother was given the food meant for the guy sitting next to us! Before realizing the mistake my brother starts eating. Isn't it ironic that 2 men sitting in tables next to one another would order the same? That poor other man, made to wait, and I could hear the CM's profusly apoligizing to him to make it right. So my brother who eats fast as it is, was done by the time we got our food. Obviously his stomach situation was much better.
Grandma Mouse and I shared a burger and Missy orderd ribs, which was a huge proportion! Once the rest of us had finished our meals, it was off to E-Ride Night!
Amazing how empty the MK looks when others have left and the park is left open for the E-Ride Night people.Grandma Mouse by this time of night is getting a little cranky and is tired. Her legs are sore and she just does not know why she is there
Melly and I head up towards the castle and who is there but Chip & Dale, she gets out her autograph book to have them sign and I am ready with the camera, then 2 other girls pop up and try to take her space, well the CM was very thoughtful in that he stopped the girls and let me get Melly's picture with the 2 chipmunks, she was grinning ear to ear. Thank you Mr. CM
So it ends up that myself, DisneySis, Mrs Sonny, Missy and Melly go and see Mickey's Philharmonic(sp?). How do they get the aroma to smell just like the food. It was fun
But DisneySis is tired too and she decides to head back to the resort with Grandma Mouse and Sonny. So it's just me, Dear Sister in Law, Missy and Melly. Now my sister in law 16 years earlier did not like to venture out on any of the rides, she complained of motion sickness. I mean even It's a Small World frightened her.
So on our way over to Splash Mountain there is no line for the Haunted Mansion imagine my surprise when she says she wants to ride it too! All right! Melly gets in with me, Mrs Sonny rides with her oldest daughter who when trying to help her onto the ride gets snapped at for trying to help. But we all made it on and DSIL even liked it! She is really getting the Magic of Disney!
Then its onto Splash Mountain, Melly is somewhat afraid, but myself and Missy reassure her that everything will be just fine. This one DSIL sits out. As you would know it we get a front row seat! One of the best pictures ever, Melly loved it! It's getting to be close to 1AM and even Melly says its time to head back.
One more Magical Day has come to an end.
