The Fountains International Drive

Hello all,

I have booked to stay in "the fountains" for 2 weeks in July, has anybody got any feedback about this place.

The Fountains is an excellent resort-style property on the southern stretch of I-Drive, below SeaWorld. It has a timeshare element, which shouldn't affect your visit at all, but just be aware that there may be people 'on the prowl' to sell timeshare at some stage (although they should be relatively low-key). It has great facilities, with a very good pool area, and is right on the I-Ride Trolley route. It is within a 20-minute walk of Orlando Premium Outlets, while there is a nearby Publix supermarket and a couple of restaurants (including an Outback Steakhouse), but otherwise there is not a lot else within walking distance, so having a car is quite useful here.

Thanks for that Simon. I have a car so being a bit isolated is ok. Do you or anybody else know if there is a lot of construction still going on at the fountains? Photo's I have seen on the internet show lots of work going on but they are not very recent.

There is a still a fair bit of construction at the back of the property, and at the neighbouring Floridays Resort, and the two are almost identical where they meet at the back. However, that shouldn't impact on the main part of the resort at all, as this has all been completed for some time and is in good working order.
