So since I have officially come out of lurking status on the boards, I have decided to do a pre-trip food report. Yay me!

So a little bit about me...I am 38 (about to be 39), and am a guaranteed and certifiable foodie. I will try anything at least once (even if I know I will get sick from it, i.e. oysters). I went to WDW for the very first time in 2007 and have fallen in complete love with the place. We have been there 3 times in less than 18 months, and have yet another trip scheduled for my birthday in January.

My WDW travelling partner (my girlfriend), JR and she just turned 37 while we were at the Mouse House. She is picky, I mean really picky. She has the oddest food tastes and it is quite an interesting feat in our house to find something we both enjoy. She will eat anything at least once if it isn't on her banned foods list. So, when we went to the F&W earlier this month...she ate so many things for the very first time and found out she likes some things...now if only she would try more of them.

So Jenny works for a florist and we NEVER get to leave town for my birthday...so this year I had to bribe her boss with working all of the next 3 holidays in order to go to WDW for my birthday/5 year anniversary. And we are going...we are staying at the SPS on our DVC developer points for 4 fun-filled days.

We were originally going to go and have a relaxing weekend away from everything before the insanity that is V-Day. But...the more I read the boards and the more we talked about it, we decided to go Deluxe Dining Plan. She knew it would totally make me happy because I get to plan it all out (of which I am ocd when it comes to that), and I get to try every single place I have been wanting to go to for over a year now. So now...it is eat, walk, eat, walk, eat, and then sleep for 4 days.

Here is our food schedule...it is a ton of food...and I am torn on a couple of things really so maybe everyone else can help me out.

Biergarten - Dinner
Ohana - Breakfast
Les Chefs de France - Lunch
CRT - Dinner
1900 Park Fare - Breakfast
Le Cellier - Lunch
Brown Derby - Dinner
Akershus - Breakfast
Rose and Crown - Lunch
Mama Melrose - Dinner

The one I am truly torn on is Les Chefs de France. We were thinking about Tutto Italia, but weren't really sure they were going to be on the DDP. The CM on the phone told me they weren't confirmed yet, and while I know that may change...I am so anal about having all of my reservations done before we go, then I don't have to plan, I can relax.

So the question I pose is...if we don't do Les Chefs de France, which one should we sub with? Parks are not a problem, just something kind of close in proximity so we are not riding the bus system for a couple of hours with transfers. Any ideas?

I would book TI and if it falls through head over to ESPN or B&C for a casual meal that doesn't take ADRs. Or even call while there, people do cancel all the time

sounds like a fun tripm, although I am surprised to not see more Signature Dining on your list. There are some great signatures that you would really enjoy!

Thanks for the advice. As for the signature dining...GF doesn't want to bring dress-up clothes for a 4 day trip. We are kind of saving the signature dining for another trip. Our mission is to eat at all of the restaurants we can. While I would LOVE to do some more signature dinings...it just isn't going to be on this trip.

Unless someone can tell me what is really allowable for wear at the signature dinings without really dressing up? I have heard lots of people say they wear polo shirts and shorts, and if that is the case...then maybe I can sneak one in.

We really enjoy Chefs for lunch, but if your plans fall through you could wander over to the Beach Club and have some tasty burgers and ice cream at Beaches & Cream or there are places like ESPN Club or the Boardwalk Brewery (or whatever its name is) ... those are both fairly casual places.

Looks like you have a good plan but I agree with Pumbaa_ I would book Tutto Italia. If it goes on the DP and you cant get an ADR for it you'll be sorry you didnt book it. There will always be some other place you'll be able to get a ressie for if you have to cancel it. Good luck :goodvibes
