Hi all!
I just found these boards about a week ago! I reading all of your trip reports. I am planning a trip to the World for my family in October. I thought that I would begin writing my pre-trip escapades. Here is the cast:

Me, 38 yr old 1st grade teacher
DH, 43 yr old
DS, 12 yr old
Mom, 70 yr old
DB, 55 yr old
DSIL, 50 yr old
Niece, 28 yr old
Nephew in law, 29 yr old
Great niece, 9 yr old
Great niece's friend, 11 yr old

Whew!
Ok, a little background.
I first visited WDW in 1977. I visited again in 1987 in high school. Then, the next time was in 1999 when my son was 3. The last time was in 2002. However, we have never had an itinerary...we just wondered aimlessly. I am amazed at all of the knowledge on these boards!

Ok, so here is what is going on so far. I am looking for a villa near Disney with 5 bedrooms. I have found some, but I am so nervous about renting from the owner. I am afraid that it will be a "scam."
I am also going to begin planning out each day of our trip which is Oct. 4-11.
I will try to update as I go along. DS is calling for me now so I have to go!

OK, so I have been scrolling the vrbo.com website for a few months, and I have finally found what I think is the BV (best villa) for our family. I emailed the owner and got the 411. Now I am a little nervous ....afraid that it is a "scam" or something. It's a 5 bedr in Emerald Island for $840 /week. I REALLY wish we could stay in Disney but I don't think we can afford it. I am also working on our schedule for that week. We are going to try to do BOTH Disney AND Universal. I don't know if this is such a good idea! More to come...
