In Sept - during the evening extra magic hours there a person checking your ID.

he was checking to make sure the ID were current and were in the system.

So I am glad I didn't do what my brother had suggested. Just say I had lost my Id and get some more (for them ) issued. I got him his own room.

will disney start checking the ID, and how will it effect - people who checked out.

your reservation is for Tuesday - so you check out on Wednesday. before you could also see the extra evening stuff on the day you check out (Wednesday) - now I don't know.

yes, Disney has been checking room ID since they started EMH, both morning and evening. In the past it was on/off whether they actually did it, however now they scan your resort ID into their handheld machine.

As for checking out, your room key should still be good until midnight of your check-out day. Otherwise it wouldn't work for the dining plan.

That's great to hear.

In April they just wanted to see that I had a card for both my son and I. I walked away thinking someone could just bring old resort IDs to flash in order to get a wrist band.

It looks like the scanning will stop that. It should also stop people from picking up bands from several locations.

As far as saying you lost your id and getting a new one, that may not work either. We had a problem with the lock on our door at CBR in August, and they gave us new keys/tickets, but they deactivated the old ones, and they didn't work anymore.
