I was just checking out Travelex for today’s rate and the dollar is up to 1.9071 :thumbsup2 . Think it might be time to put some on order or should I wait till next week, oh decisions, decisions!

ARGGGHHHHHHHH!!!

Because it was 1.88 yesterday I rushed out after work and went and changed some of my money at M&S. They had run out of $50 travllers cheques and asked if I wanted to wait till tomroow when they had a delivery and I said no as I was worried the rate would drop, so I ended up signing about 60 of the $20 ones!!

And now the rate has gone up to 1.90!!! S*ds law!!

ohhh spooky - i was just atlking about this to my work collegues. I've spoken to 3 or 4 epople and they all think it's going to hit 2 in a few days - so i'm going to wait then i'll run and get mine

i went to tesco today and got some and the woman i know said that is the highest they've been yet will have to get the rest week now while it's going good!!!!!!!!!

I cleaned the post office out of their dollars this lunchtime!

Tonight I am going to phone Disney (DVC) and pay my annual dues early!

Can you pay your annual dues early??? ( ive only been a member since 1999)

I am going to use my nationwide CC as you get a good rate with that.

Good idea, you'll get a higher rate than from M&S.

We just got some of our holiday money from Tesco too, brilliant rate we ordered it yesterday and it came today by Special Delivery at no extra charge!!
They rang to check our details before they posted it to us as a security check :goodvibes Well satisfied with the great service :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It was on the news last night that it may crack the $2 mark very soon so I'm hanging on a couple more days :)

To buy it is 1.913 at M&S today :thumbsup2

I am buying some either tomorrow or in the week :thumbsup2

As I know to my cost (special 20 mile trip) M&S in Nottingham are completely out of stock of US $ T/Chqs until Tuesday or even Thursday of this week.

They have had an extra delivery that means that have some $ notes, but no t/chqs :confused3

My M&S advised to call to hold them before turning up because of the demand :thumbsup2

i am holding out for the $2 mark, all the papers seem to indicate it will come! patience is a virtue and if it pays off then we are paying our DVC loan off - to good an opportunity to miss!

I dont know this for sure but it wont go to $2 to us that is what the banks etc rate will be?

I just got $1.9464 from citibank. I think I'll wait a few days and look again - it does seem to be going our way at the moment!

Remember folks to use your cash to get your travel money and save paying the credit card charges :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Does anyone know where to purchase for the best rate?

I usually always order mine from www.travelex.co.uk. Their rate is always very good, they don't charge commission and you can pick them up at the airport.

I did pay my annual dues early and in fact did the same last year. You can in fact credit your account with a much as you want if you really thought it was going to crash and you had the money spare you could pay next years as well!!! Of course DVC get the interest and you don't so it is a gamble.

We have 520 points so it could be quite a bit to save.
