Any info on how many of those evil, gut crushing turnstiles remain? I remember having particular trouble with the one on the railroad. I often just go through the wheelchair entrance to avoid any possible issues. : )

I went to the world in Oct 2013 and I don't remember any turnstiles on any of the rides I went on.

Carousel of Progress has a turnstile, though there is a gate next to it you can use. The railroad has turnstiles, too.

I'm so glad I came acrossed this thread! Does anyone know how the fit for big thunder mountain is? I usually don't do roller coasters bc I have vertigo issues but I watched a you tube video on it and it doesn't look to fast or intense. It will be my sons first big boy roller coaster and I want to be there with him

5'5", 26/28 (most of it on my hips) and I find it a comfortable ride -- have fun!

Just watch out for big thunder mountain. It is one lap bar for two people. I went on it with my 7 year old and was scared because the bar was so loose in her. I made her switch seats to sit with her sister instead.

My husband and I are Pooh sized and are going back to WDW in May. We will be flying with our 10 year old daughter. We have avoided Southwest Airlines for years but I just re-read their passenger of size policy today. Am I reading it correctly, SWA will now refund the passenger of size for a second seat purchased even if the flight is oversold? In our case we would purchase two extra seats. I don't want to ask this on the transportation board. Has anyone successfully gotten their seats refunded after the trip? Thank you!

Guess I'm confused Why would you purchase the seats to begin with if you did not need them?

If/after using them, why would you want your money refunded? Seems like you either would know you needed them, or not.

We need to raise the armrest to be comfortable on an airplane so according to SWA we do need two seats. On SWA their former policy for passengers of size stated and you were only refunded for the extra seats if the flight wasn't sold out. Their policy now states that they refund you even when the flight is oversold. I want to know if any other passengers of size have been successful in being refunded. I wasn't aware until today that their policy had changed and we have only been flying on airlines with assigned seating so we could sit together and raise the arm rests without question. I thought this was a thread for people Pooh sized so I am equally confused as to why you feel the need to question my motives.

Wow just wow. Anyways I would rather a larger person be given two seats instead of what happened to us on a flight. I was sitting with my DS3( but was 2 at the time) and this pooh sized person was sitting on the isle seat. The arm rest could clearly not be lowered between him and my son because he was using half my sons seat. My DS wanted to watch the tv and so I had to let him use my head phone jack and what not because his jack and tv controls were in the armrest behind the guy. I was out of luck to watch anything and my son had to watch my tv instead of his.
I did not want to be rude or embarrass him by making a deal about it but inside I was stewing because I paid for my sons seat but got half to use and couldn't use the tv too. There is no way another adult could have sat there. Anyways they should just accommodate and let people that need two seats have them instead of making all involved uncomfortable.

My point was why would I be asking a question on a thread called "Everything Pooh Sized"' and also stating that I was a Pooh sized and then not need the extra seat by SWA policy My family actually does not plan to use the extra seats but if we want to fly on SWA as a customer of size, purchasing the extra seats is the only way we can be assured of sitting together and then having the right to raise the armrests. You can't do that if seated next to a stranger. SWA will only refund, as per their policy, if the passenger is indeed determined to be a customer of size by a gate agent and is given the proper paperwork to fill out. Preboarding is allowed for the passengers that have purchased the extra seat.

Our daughter also has a severe cognitive disability and is allowed preboarding. Honestly we would much rather fly on AirTran, like we have been doing for the last 5 years or so, and not deal with this but they have almost been completely absorbed into SWA now. If we want nonstop from STL, SWA is the only choice.

Still hoping that someone can share their recent experiences with this policy. We want to purchase tickets soon. Thank you so much.

Not sure when the policy changed, but the process is very easy. When booking the second ticket at XS as the middle name of the person needing the extra seat, then after the flight there is am enmail address to start the refund process. This works even if the flight is oversold.

If we use this process will there be any need to purchase EBCI? I am thinking no?

What is EBCI??? I can't help you with SWA, I have refused to fly on them due to their Pooh policy. It should be my business if I want to overflow into my husbands seat, but I would never fly by myself and overflow into someone else's seat!! I would be embarrassed, UGH. Lately, we have started purchasing a third seat for the comfort of ourselves. My husband is tall and I am a tall Pooh, so with a seat between us we can sit sideways or stretch out into the floor space. I usually sit sideways and put my achy knee up on the seat, and hope the person in front of me doesn't put their seat back. We will be flying JetBlue from CA to Boston in the fall for the first time, I am excited about the more leg room that they advertise.

If we use this process will there be any need to purchase EBCI? I am thinking no?
