That is my all time favorite, but a close second is her parody of Norma Desmond from the movie "Sunset Boulevard." She was Nora Desmond, I think. I rented the movie once and when DH and I started watching it, he realized Carol Burnett's spoof was based on that movie. He'd never realized there was a movie, because it's from 1950 and is a little before our time. I'd seen it many times because I'm an old movie buff. He had a new appreciation for the spoof after seeing the movie.

Wow, nice to see there's so many Carol Burnett show fans. After reading all the other great skits listed here, I thought of her famous As The Stomach Turns. The part that always had me was when she'd put the baby (no, not a real baby ) in the umbrella stand.

What irony! DH and I were just cracking each other up the other night reminiscing about the Carol Burnett show and our favorite episodes. And of course the most memorable one is the Gone with the Wind skit. Just the thought of Carol Burnett strolling down the staircase with the curtain rod coming out her back makes me laugh out loud. And there is Harvey Korman standing at the bottom of the stairs, shaking uncontrollably from trying to hold the laughter in. Now that's comedy!

There are a couple episodes on amazon...I can't remember if they were DVD or VHS.
