AS WE GATHER TO CELEBRATE,

ON THIS CHRISTMAS DAY,

WITH ALL OF OUR FAMILIES,

LET US ALL STOP AND PRAY.



CAUSE ALL ACROSS AMERICA,

IN HOMES EVERYWHERE,

FAMILIES WILL BE GATHERED,

AT A TABLE WITH AN EMPTY CHAIR.



ONE OF THEIR LOVED ONES,

IS NOT AT HOME TO CELEBRATE,

SOME ARE IN FOREIGN LANDS,

AND SOME HAVE MET THEIR FATE.



LET'S THANK THOSE MEN AND WOMEN,

WHO KEEPS OUR COUNTRY STRONG,

AND STAND AND SALUTE OUR FLAG,

AND SING OUR NATIONS SONGS.



CAUSE SOMEWHERE THIS CHRISTMAS,

AS WE SAY A THANKFUL PRAYER,

THERE ARE FAMILIES THAT ARE HURTING,

AT A TABLE WITH AN EMPTY CHAIR
