The Eiffel Tower at Epcot

As others have said and I thought Robo would illustrate with one of his great maps. The view of the back of WS is mostly parking lots and for lack of a better term dumps.

Until I started to look around with Google maps and Mapblast's bird's eye view I never realized how little space the counties take up.

:scared: After looking at that, I can see why they'd want to hide it. We stay at the Beach Club often and always drive slowly passed the back of Epcot to get a glance of "behind the scenes". Yes, it's not very "magical". :sad2:

I would also think that it would have something to do with "showcasing" the entire country of France, not just it's capital city of Paris ...

the Countries tour:confused3

Tell me please
There used to be a tour called "Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase." It wasn't very good and unless they recently started it up again, has been discontinued.

But you did go behind France and see the back of the thing sitting on a building. You also went behind Canada and saw the flower pots sitting on the back of the hilly thing.

I haven't done the segway tour...maybe that goes "behind the scenes"...I dunno.

I have not been to the real Eiffel Tower, but I have been to the one in las Vegas. That one is 1/2 the size of the real one.:) They were given a copy of the original blueprints so it is an exact copy. ;) The Las Vegas one is huge. The base of it goes through the casino and out by the street. I don't know if the have the room in Epcot for something like that. The one in Vegas only has a viewing area at the top.

Yeah that's why I said it would look rediculous cuz I don't think they'd have the room for something even that big.

*EDIT*

You know, I had another thought: another reason why perhaps they wouldn't do this is that each country pays a certain amount of money towards their pavillion. That's why some have rides, some have shows, and some have no attractions, just food/shopping. So I think to have something like this France would have to pay more. Just a thought

But the view from the one at Paris in Vegas is awesome, especially at night looking down the strip and across the valley. In Disney there would be nothing to see but Florida trees and swamp. It would be crowded anyway unless they took a group up and brought them down instead of letting them wander around, definitely not a FP ride.
