I cancelled my dinner ADR today for mid Sept. After looking at the menu again, I just didn't see the value in it. The prime rib might be good but no real side. The fun desserts are for parties of 2 to share & I am a solo diner. I replaced with Enzo's Sunday night family Italian dinner. Panda did a great, positive review of this Sunday night feast the other week. So did the allears team. After enjoying my real meals in Italy, I'm not a fan of WDW Italian restaurants. Many are the generic, bland North American pasta fails. But Enzo's Sunday dinner sounds good & worth a try. I will take the corridor from Enzo's to The Edison for a drink at the bar after dinner and a little sortie. If anyone has had a wonderful dining experience at The Edison, please reply below. However, the dining reviews have been mixed to poor. Mash that with being a solo diner with very limited menu choices, it makes sense to jump ship. I adore the atmosphere and decor at The Edison. But the actual food choices are sad. My guess is The Edison is geared to the after hours bar profit and the meals are an obligatory concession to Disney as party of the Disney Springs contract. Very sad given the potential. But it is what it is. I would love to be proved wrong.

We're going to give it a shot in October. Looked like an interesting place and we wanted to visit Disney Springs. Granted, it will be two of us but my wife is a pretty picky eater so we'll see how it goes and certainly post something here.

For the price, I don’t think it was worth it. Our service was odd-we got our appetizer long before our drinks and the server could have cared less. We split a dinner because the portions looked huge. I don’t even recall what it was from our trip in February. Our impression was we tried it, but would not go back. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the table was tiny, too small to actually eat on. It wasn’t busy, so not sure why we got such a tiny table.

I wouldn't go to Edison as a solo again. I really liked the entertainment and atmosphere, but I really felt it was one of the only restaurants where it would have been much better with a companion. I had a reservation right before 10 p.m. It worked out nicely and I didn't have to pay the cover. If I were to go back again, I would do the same thing.

As far as the food. It was fairly good and the drinks I had were really good. Two of the entrees were already sold out for the night so I had maybe three things to choose from. I ended up getting the burger. It was really good, but I'm not in the habit of getting $25 burgers. I also got the candied bacon appetizer. It was very good. I was pretty full and only ate 2 of the 5 pieces of bacon. I figured it would be good for breakfast and asked the remaining 3 be wrapped up. When I opened the box in the morning there was only one piece! I was pretty ticked off as It was about $3 for each piece of bacon.

That stinks! I know this sounds crazy, but I always ask for the take home container be brought to the table and I box up leftovers. The less the kitchen handles my food the better!

We didn't have a full meal at The Edison (we opted for a night of bar hopping and snacking around DS instead). We sat at one of the bars, ordered the candied bacon and a couple of drinks and had a really enjoyable time. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the entertainment since it was one of our first stops that evening.

We went to the Edison the beginning on July. I had looked over the menu that was posted on Allears and was less then thrilled. Then I started reading the reviews which were mostly negative. We decided to give it a try and we were very happy that we did. Upon checking in, we were seated immediately with a great view of the water. Our server Austin appeared immediately to introduce himself and to review the menu and get our drink orders. The first thing I noticed was menu that we were given had much more items on it then what was posted on Allears. We order the clothesline maple bacon and drinks first. Austin brought them out within 5-7 minutes after ordering. I ordered the steak tips in a wine reduction sauce over potatoes (this was not on the on line menu), the other items ordered was a sirloin steak and the meatloaf which were yummy. We were debating on what to order for desert as we were also celebrating a birthday. Austin over heard this and he brought over a very large piece of chocolate cake drizzled with a raspberry sauce and whipped cream and 3 forks for sharing. I am glad to say we look forward to returning and to remember that the online menu may not be complete.

We're giving the Edison a try in September. We've watched several reviews and they were pretty positive. We liked the vibe we say and will give it a try. It does help that we are on the DDP - if it was out of pocket, the pricing would make us think twice - good reviews or not.

I have a solo diner reservation for dinner coming up but was thinking a lunch trip might be the better choice as the prices were a few dollars cheaper for the same thing.

We tried it in February and we had terrible service. I ended up having to approach another waiter to get our check and refill our drinks. The food was mediocre for us and we are normally easy to please. Maybe they were still working out some kinks since they had recently opened, but I wouldn’t waste my money on going back.

Sadly? This is a bar. "Not a real restaurant". Building is STUNNING. But it's an empty suit:(. Perhaps one day? This will change. Not touching anything at DS, until a REAL SIG appears. Others will do as they chose to do.

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.
